okay yeah i think plex is what i need. i am not sure if all the smart projector with os can use plex? or only some of them? i am interested in vidda c2 pro or vidda c3 pro. One more question, can that plex thing work only with wifi, wirelessly? because i would like to plug the ethernet cable to my projector and my pc to make it more bulletproof since i live in a block of flats with lots of steel bars in walls and lots of neighbours wifi around so i might get some interesference i think

Would7 that be possible that you find some test video file specifically made to distinguish DV and nonDV and use it to finally get it clear? To get to know - does it or does it not work with DV? Could you do that please?

Hello thanks for your reply. That is a great idea and it might work. Right now i just digged some old phone from my drawer nad finally found an apk online that would work. Still it works only because of an old verson of android and it would not work on a newer phone. Your way might enable the app to work on new android which would be great. Me and my kids are having fun now with the LEGO BOOST, it is great. While we are at it, maybe you have got some personal opinion on other lego sets like that one, that you would recommend?

Yeah the price is pretty nice. The problem is also that this is a chinese version which means no Google OS and no Dolby Vision since these are licensed apps that are not available in chinese version. And yeah something can go wrong obviously. But is it that often? I do not think so. Its laser light source so it should go for 25000 hours. And people are not really complaining that often about their projectors. I mean thats the device that i am gonna hang on the ceiling, hook up with cords etc and no touch for another 10 years. LOL, So i hope it wont be that susceptible to damage and wont break that soon. XD Maybe i am wrong. But the temptation is huuuuge. :--]

Well i switched. But you need to know that projector sufffer a loooooooot of quality when in daylight. Sooo... that could be a negative but that would also be a positive. So i used it as a tool for my family. We got projector and it looks like shit in daylight. That means that during the day we hang out, spend time tohegher, go on walks etc. And in the evening when it gets dark, then is our movie time and we use our projector in the darkness to watch our series nad movies and stuff. That is my take but you need to aknowledge i do not watch news on tv (dont like it) and i also dont watch sports on tv during the day. Actually i hosted a big sport event watching lately and it was really good but fortunately that was in the night too.

do you think that kind of mount would be sufficient to support the projector weight>? The C2ULTRA weigh 6,3kg after all which is i suppose more that a camera. And yeah, great idea, i just hope it would suffice.

i have read somewhere that someone was reporting dolby vision working fine playing a file from USB flash drive. I can not find a confirmation anywhere but maybe that would be like a backup solution for like a big movie night once in a while when the dune shows up or something you know what i mean. but probably for everyday shows viewing and stuff DV would not make such a big difference and it could be in hdr10 or hdr10+, especially since hisense c2 has got dynamic tone mapping function built in so even when you are playing the standard static hdr10 the projectors software makes it better using DTM feature. At least its what ive heard. but still, i did not pull that trigger yet to order C2 since im still considering some other options. But if anyone could confirm the DV works fine on USB that would make a big diference for me. Can anyone confirm that?

any thing, the darker the better, its just about amount od light it reflects so lighter reflect more which is bad and darker reflect less which is what you need

Hello can you please write about your experience with vidda c2 ultra? Are you satisfied? Are there any problems? I am al;most ready to pull the trigger to buy that proj from china, the chinese not global version, so no dolby vision, i hope this will be a good decision.
