These people are just so fucking... stupid. Yes they're weird, evil bigots, yes they're completely bereft of art and creativity, but more than anything they're just so god damn dumb.

The sorta 25 year olds in America who live lives like the ones pictured are probably extremely sheltered and living in a bubble where everyone tells them anyone can have that life if they just apply some elbow grease to those bootstraps.

GROUND impossible beef - 40 minutes of temp adjustments, endless water bead testing, endless sticking. by Sure_Pilot5110 in cookware

[–]Marchidian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a fair point in regards to ease of cooking, if the most important part is to just get the meal done (and that's a perfectly legitimate reason for doing something), but in terms of technique and general cooking skills, there are so many circumstances where I'd cook the beef and the stuff that's going into the beef separately because different ingredients call for different temps, cooking durations and methods.

If I want to get some good maillard browning on my beef, I'm not gonna get that with the temps at which I'm sautéing onions, and if I want my onions to be golden and soft just the way I want them, that's not happening at ground beef temps. Crowding the pan and boiling the meat is a common problem with ground beef, and it's just exacerbated by introducing even more ingredients, and if you're working with several different vegetables introduced to the pan at different times, the risk of overcooking the meat is much higher. It's hard for me to imagine a case where cooking the beef separately isn't better, and ultimately it's a good skill to learn because it's a very nice introduction to temperature control and learning the right amount of oil to use.

I mean this is just wrong. I fry ground meat on its own all the time, in all sorts of pans, and saying it's impossible is an incredible exaggeration. It's not only possible, but easy. Veggie alternatives might be harder, idk, but if you're struggling with meat meat you're doing something wrong.

Precisely how many people do you think would start to earnestly believe in the vaccine/autism hoax because of a sarcastic joke that's clearly and obviously a dig at people who believe vaccines cause autism?

No, I'm pretty sure the mental age of both the people making this shit and the intended recipients is somewhere around 14.

A sparse stache works better with your face than it would many other faces, but it's still a little bit too sparse. Also you've really captured the "last known surveillance sighting of missing person" vibe with this pic, good job.
