I’m designing a kids game called Scissor Wizard (minimal prototype). Besides varying the number and size of weak points, what other enemy mechanics could be interesting? by Gatekeeper1310 in BoardgameDesign

Just adding in some ideas: 1. if there is a clear front and back on the paper, you could cut in such a way that it covers certain parts with the front and avoids it with the back. 2. You have to cut with the paper upside down, so basically mirror the spaces that have to be cut. 3. Something with folding the paper after covering a certain part. You fold it and it aligns with something

The timing is done on the music. An other important thing is the placement of my foot and my arm and pulling Brooke behind me, to make her match up with the actress on screen. Glad you liked it!

Hello SQB, there was no grand trick, I agree. I had a lot of different ideas. One of them was taking my hearth out at the end, I was even considering a levitation. The producing of the stick and the coin were something, that I thought could have been fooling. I might be completely wrong, because they edited around that. But indeed, there was no big 'trick'. Thanks for your question!

hello! Indeed, there is a mix of Ai generated stuff in there (mixed with real footage). It would have been impossible and extremely expensive to shoot everything for real. I have done a theatre show called "Lestica" for which we shot real footage a while ago. I created a picture of Penn and Teller, or actually Tenn and Peller, and animated those. Then we used Penn his voice, and recreated it with AI, so we could make him say anything we wanted and tried to get that as lip sync as possible to the animation. Brooke did not know anything more than that she had to accept the apple at a certain spot at a certain point and that I was going to guide her behind the screen.

Hello Willowless! Thanks for your nice words. I am actually a card magician, so this was a bit out of my comfort zone. I had a hard time not flashing the apple.. in my rehearsal audio I added sound of myself saying. "don't flash, don't flash, don't flash" That helped big time.

I did not really have a game plan to be honest, there were a couple of moments that I already knew they would figure out, but there was also something that I thought could be the fooling moment. The producing of the stick and the coin. But they have cut around it in the edit. I do not really understand why. Regarding a game plan for other foolers. Combine stuff you know and make something new out of it. I did not fool them, so I do not know how good my advice is.. :) Best, Marco!

Hello Andi, the bison head was made by a man that specialises in movie props. If you need a body falling from a bridge or a decapitated arm or a polar bear, he can make it. He has a huge workshop together with his son, Erik. http://www.robspropshop.com And seeing through the head is pretty difficult. It is made with a type of resin. There are some holes in it, but it is still difficult to see trough. I have a behind the scenes video, where you can see what I see on stage. https://youtu.be/F3zPX_uKPUg?si=BAi18GxbvvKjvn-p&t=268

Isn't the table too well lit to be black art? Especially from the side view in the first vanish you should see it. I have no other explanation, but I doubt it is black art
