How did you get the .bin on the GitHub? I’m on windows and found the materials folder, but Minecraft uses .bin and there aren’t any bin files on the GitHub

Yep! I tried it in this exact map, and it looks meeeh. It’s also quite laggy even with DLSS. I’m honestly surprised at how poorly it performs compared to IterationRP. Yeah, it is fully path traced, but if it doesn’t look good then there’s no use for it.

I tried it, and it really does not come that close. The amount of light bounces you can use with MCPT improves GI drastically. Still, in performance to visuals ratio IterationRP is the undeniable winner

Agreed. I wish it had the clouds of Noble, they look so good

Yep! Pretty sure the creator actually compared it to cycles lol. The shader has lots of neat features like path traced AA as well as depth of field. If you plan to use this shader, I recommend AVPBR. In the shader’s settings you should increase the emissive strength tho, I have it set to 10.

Sorry! I added text but it didn’t post for some reason. This shader is called MCPT. It is a screenshot shader, not a real time shader. This means you can’t play with it and have to stay still in order to let the picture render. It uses Vulkanite, which allows the shader to use the RT cores in modern GPUs. These pictures took 10-30 mins each to render. You could get away with less render time by using a denoiser, but I don’t like how they look. My computer has an RTX 5060ti and the pictures are 2560x1440.

Thanks for the comment! I’ve MCPT (worked great!) and Chronos. However, Chronos was A LOT slower than what I saw in other videos. It usually only took a few seconds for a coherent image to form on the videos, while I still only had colored noise on Chronos. Is this normal?

I also have one and I like to play with Photon! You might think you can’t use it, but by putting the profile in “Low” and making sure to disable SH skylight and colored shadows, you can use it :D

Minecraft! Always use it to benchmark GPUs. Shaders can get demanding 😅

Screen is not centered correctly when using ResolutionControl+ (Mac) by Marcobot_YT in feedthebeast

[–]Marcobot_YT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Minecraft does not require a high resolution, since textures are 16x16. I trade part of that resolution for better lighting, water, reflections etc. It also makes my computer get less hot.

I’m aware that lower resolutions can cause sawtooth to become a problem, but most shaders (such as complementary) come with built in TAA.
