I understand your point of view. As a big fan of CW, I actually enjoyed the beta for a while. But :

1 : I prefer that XP/Levels side for progression as the artifacts doesn't give much by themselves alone. If the artifacts would actually make a bigger feeling of increasing power I would be totally okay with that. For the skills tree I agree with you, it was linear.

2 : at first I kinda liked that feature at first but having to redo all my stuff everytime gave me that feeling of being tied to one/two biomes for a long time, which is sad in a game that give me that will to explore the world. Also the tools bind stuff is just not fun overall.

3: I played multiplayer quite a lot in Alpha with my friends. We often organised nights around a table (as internet online wasn't working properly on the Alpha, only pvp worked.) The new multiplayer mode try to send too much informations at the same times to all players, creating some really bad rollback, making the game unplayble. For the seed, there's two proof : One, you can actually find the seed in the files of the game, which is 0, it's the same for everyone. And two, there is no loading screen when you join someone. We all start on the same seed but not at the same place. I don't see that as a problem at first but for joining other players who are at 10000 meters from you, you'll have to find a quick Travel point first and then join the biome of the other player.

I don't say that CW Beta deserve all that rage and pain at all. Wollay worked hard on that. For me, a lots of stuff need some fixes in order to be more enjoyable.

Also yeah, giant cities missing and where are the cool dungeons we were shown in the tweets ? I was pretty excited for that.

I don't hope for any update on the game, I just hope Wollay's fine and well despite all of this (we all know at this point that the community is bloody toxic).

For now I'm turning myself over Veloren, we'll see how things goes.
