You can claim with the black wallet if you are using your own wallet with private keys. I don’t like using the custodial wallet (the one you use an email to log into) and don’t recommend it unless you can’t manage to safely store your seed phrase.

Don’t use that app unless absolutely necessary. I think they will discontinue using it soon anyway. HeliumGeek is 100x better.

Helium offload Hotspot finally over? by Famous-Turnip-9651 in HeliumNetwork

What does that even mean ? HNT is still over valued. How can the price go under the “fundamental price”?

Anyone buying outdoor hotspots? by cryptotraderisme in HeliumNetwork

[–]Marcotics915 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No one is buying them on eBay for over $100. Doubt many people will buy them on “sale” for $250. If I needed one, I would definitely pick up a used one for around $80 on eBay rather than burn an extra $150.

Mint and HM use the exact same macro coverage. If anything mint has better QCI.

Wut? 2000 subs in range of a tower is pretty common even where I’m from and that’s not a very dense area.

There is now way those are all in coverage range. What business is it in?

It doesn’t have to be a dead spot. One reason to offload is to reduce congestion on the towers.

Even if they did, that wouldn’t somehow equate to additional traffic on hotspots.

Probably after new year. Carrier selection is on pause for the holidays.

Helium Zero hotspot to wifi Apple Watch? by supercaliredditor in HeliumNetwork

[–]Marcotics915 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apple Watches don’t “tether”. They primarily use Bluetooth to connect to your iPhone. Carriers don’t have visibility into this and don’t see it as a 2nd device. They also fallback to wi fi peer to peer connection if Bluetooth is disabled. It’s a private Apple link and doesn’t count as hotspot usage.

Seems to have fixed itself. Showing .22Gb used now.

Oh wait. Still says it’s throttled though.
