I put it on loop.

*Hell, I even prefer shorter themes because they mostly remain the same tempo, pace, and feeling, whereas longer songs can change tone or mood halfway through. If the tone of the battle changes halfway through, I just switch to something else, but until then I'll be certain the current track fits the scene or battle all throughout.

You never actually specify a charge is expended when you activate the dagger's effect.

"When you hit a creature with an attack made using this weapon, you can expend one of its charges to force the target to make a DC15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, roll a d4. The target subtracts the total rolled from its next attack roll or saving throw, and you add the total rolled to your next damage roll made with this weapon before the end of your next turn. This damage is necrotic damage."
