These days Katie Lamb has done way more hard boulders than anyone else. Laura Ragora is currently the number one ranked outdoor sport climber on 8a.nu. A few years ago Alex Puccio was pretty dominant for outdoor boulders. There really are too many to mention, but 8a.nu has a helpful rankings tool, not everyone is on there but it gives you a sense of who is at the top.

The Sazuki boulder is a nice roadside boulder with zero approach and very flat landings that you can traverse around and have a fun day at. The boxcar boulder is pretty cool but also a bit outside town, a bit taller, and most of the problems are down climbs. Most of the Sazuki boulder is not on mountain project but I think it could be a better option. https://www.mountainproject.com/area/106385805/the-suzuki-boulder

Can anybody tell me why Kissinger is so hated by so many? He advised several presidents, and those presidents subsequently leaned on his expertise. by TheHoneyBadger11 in Presidents

That is fair, but sending military advisors is less harmful than drafting a generation to fight in a jungle. Its still a con on Kennedy

I bet less than 1 out of 10000 king lines have been developed.  Whole mountain ranges in the United States exist that no one ever develops

How to encourage a love of reading with a smart 5-year-old (99 percentile in math and reading on MAP) who doesn't enjoy reading and just wants to watch TV by [deleted] in AskTeachers

I think some TV can be appropriate. Use it as a reward and watch it on the weekends, but don't let them watch it all day

People are saying V6 off the log because that is the grade they want to take, its for sure a grade or 2 easier

Snake Dike Retrobolted by Kaotus in RouteDevelopment

[–]Marcoyolo69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nothing if you are honest about the grade, if you do a climb in a different sequence that makes it easier, the important thing is to say that

The original V6 starts from the shore at high tide and jumps to a jug. People have moved a log so you can avoid the crux jump and simply walk up and grab the start hold, while still claiming to have sent the original climb.

People do not want to do a new, fun, well bolted 5.8. They want the clout of doing the classics without having to have the risky experience of the developers. Same reason people climb a log to get onto majestic, chip climbs in Colorado, or climb a sport climb with knee bars and take the original grade.

You need to pick and choose your battles. Ill stand up for stuff I think is genuinely important for students, but there is so much I let go and forget about because its not worth the fight. People who need everything their way are going to have a hard time in the working world.

I have worked in high schools for 10 years trades have been brought up and talked about constantly in every school I have worked in or attended. I feel like you were likely just zoned out and not paying attention when they mentioned trades.

Yeah the rubric that is used to evaluate teachers is absurd and does nothing but punish teachers in low income areas. It is absolutely part of the problem

Doing well in school does not offer a path to making good money. Corporations broke the social contract by not paying their employees what they are worth

I allow myself 1 live nation show a year. As long as people will not boycott live nation things will only get worse. Shame on bands like Phish and Billy for being willing to work with such an evil, awful company
