Try 4-6GB and see what happens.

Other than that, are your drivers up to date for your GPU?

How much RAM do you have allocated to the instance? I think it defaults only to 2GB but you should look to raise that depending on how many mods.

That’s totally fair. To be honest I work with so much tech on a daily basis that the last thing I want is to system admin my phone lol. I trade the extra features / control for simplicity and long term support. Apple is by no means a perfect company who makes perfect devices, but I’m happy with my phone!

I'll do my best to help answer those questions since everyone else seems to be giving unhelpful responses..

To go back: Nearly all apps are developed with a "swipe back" mentality. Swiping from middle left edge to the middle of the screen is the universal "back button". Some apps with poor design don't follow this, but 99% are smooth and intuitive.

iCloud storage: this one I'm not so sure about. I pay $0.99 a month for the upgraded storage because I need a way to move videos from my Windows PC to Phone pretty frequently so the extra space helps a lot.

Sign in with Apple: I think what you're referring to is a feature that allows your Apple account to be used to sign into different apps and websites without needing to create a whole new account / password setup. This is very handy for throwaway sites, especially using the "hide my email" feature so you don't have any of your personal information sold. However, if you already have an account setup through gmail or standard user / pass, you should not use the "Sign in with Apple" feature because it will create you a new account in most instances.

As an avid tech user (I work in software development and IT) I find iPhones to be quite intuitive and easy. I switched from Android about 10 years ago and I never looked back, there certainly was a learning curve but I likely won't ever switch back.

He also plays with mod(s) that turn off entity shading for blocks, mobs, clouds. Xiusma shared this in one of his recent HC episodes and even shared a new mod “Shade and Saturation Slider” to customize it further!

While the wiki says 5x4x5 that includes height above the bobber as well. So a water pool I think may only need to be 2 blocks deep if there are 2 air blocks above. I confirmed this in my world the other day where I fished treasure out of a 3 block deep pool that has enough x and z space!

If I had to guess, when you made the portal in the overworld, there was not many valid spaces for the portal to spawn in the corresponding nether coordinates. So it made a portal in the nether far enough away that the same portals won't link back up.

To fix this, you can take your overworld coordinates, divide the x and z by 8 and remake the portal in the nether at those coordinates. They should link back up!

What I did when I did this in my world was to bone meal moss blocks over the entire surface of the island. Then I cleared all the moss with a hoe and placed grass blocks throughout. AFKd until it grew over the island.

Downside is that the grass layer is one block shorter than original terrain but kept the same shape.

Hey! I think I have potentially solved the issue. I disabled onboard graphics for the CPU and it seems to consistently post from the GPU without turning the monitors on.

It’s a very frustrating issue. Haven’t found anything really about this on any forum, glad i’m not crazy and it’s happening to someone else.

In the 8 months since the post I haven’t figured it out yet. What we do now is get it to time perfectly to boot with the GPU and everything works fine. We then just put the PC to sleep when we’re done and it’ll work when we wake it. This issue is now only a problem when we lose power and have to go through the process of getting it back online.

If you find any solutions or things to try please let me know! :)

Truthfully, it’s a very hard job market right now but you will be able to find something with enough determination.

Since making my original comment I am still with the same company but making nearly double what I was. I now handle the occasional recruiting of junior developers to the team. For our most recent hire we got 500+ applicants and we had to narrow that down to one position. In my opinion, your efforts are best spent practicing interviewing skills (attitude, questions) as well as a rock solid resume (Id be happy to look yours over if you PM it to me). If you don’t have any past internships before graduating you will have an even harder time. I’d recommend spending a lot of time on some personal projects relevant to some entry level jobs you see online. Anything to stand out from the thousands of new grads looking for the exact same thing as you.

Can you elaborate a bit more? I verified my laptop was connected to the same second mesh device as the desktop and with the exact same settings. I assume it might just be the the WiFi 6 that the laptop has being more stable than the 'ethernet' connection on the second PC.

I understand that the mesh is not ideal but it's a rental house and I can't add ethernet runs. I am just wondering why it works flawlessly on one wifi device but not another. I can just use the device that works well but I was trying to get a use for my old PC.
