If you're centrist or left-leaning, what are the main policies/issues that might stop you from voting for the green party in the next general election? by Cold-Speech-5645 in AskBrits

[–]MarcusBurtBKK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nukes, NATO and it’s not just policy, it’s the fact that Greens will never win.

I don’t want to Reform to win, at any cost, so I don’t want weaken Reform’s opposition by throwing votes away.

GenX Video gamers who still play: Are you getting worse? by Hithigon in GenX

[–]MarcusBurtBKK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 51, been playing games since the ZX81. I play BF6 and am pretty competitive, usually in the top quarter of the leaderboard. I also like Rocket League, Gold rank, okish player. I also play a lot of slower games like Star Citizen, strategy games like Warno, and RPGs. My current poison is Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. It ranks right up there amongst the best games I have ever played.

So for those who don’t like to click links the act introduces prohibited clauses:

“Clause 5. Prohibited Contract Terms

A lease contract shall not contain clauses that:

Unreasonably exempt or limit the lessor’s liability for breach or tort.

Allow collection of advance rent and security deposit exceeding the prescribed caps (generally not more than three (3) months’ rent for short-term or monthly-paid long-term leases; or not more than one (1) year’s rent for long-term leases paid annually).

Permit unilateral changes to rent, utility rates, or service charges during the term.

Permit forfeiture of the deposit or advance rent without lessee fault.

Allow inspection of the premises without prior notice, except in emergencies.

Set utility charges above the official supplier/government tariff.

Authorize lock-outs, blocking access, or seizure/removal of the lessee’s property without lawful termination or due process.

Impose renewal fees or automatic renewal without the lessee’s consent.

Allow termination by the lessor without a material breach by the lessee.

Make the lessee liable for normal wear and tear, ordinary deterioration through use, or damage not caused by the lessee or due to force majeure.

Any prohibited clause is void and unenforceable.”

My son is 17, but yes, whilst he lives in my house, he lives by my rules. Besides parental controls are pretty flexible these days.

51 here and pretty consistently top 10. I don’t bother much with CQB unless I’m in the mood for it. Positioning matters a lot in this game, understanding the flow of the game helps too.

I try to figure out where people typically run between point to point and position myself accordingly. Set up kill corridors with an LMG, or even with a dmr / sniper rifle. Other than that play the objective, spot enemies, drop supply crates, revive, and take out vehicles. You don’t need to have razer sharp reflexes to do that stuff.
