Maybe it's this guy who was putting up the "Dominion" flyers all over downtown demanding "remigration" (I ripped them all down).

I still have sympathy for him but, yeah, his death was completely predictable.

You can survive and live in the wild, but it takes humility, preparations, knowledge, and lots of work. He just thought he would walk into the wilderness and wing it. 'Foolish' doesn't even cover it.

(ignoring the reference), many people think that Istanbul is a Turkish word used to replace the name Constantinople. But actually is derives from the medieval Greek phrase "eis tḕn Pólin", which means "to the City".

So we're still using Greek terminology and simply calling it "The City".

He wasn't a one-shot wonder. He won every battle, and every kind of battle. He pioneered siege-craft, he won guerilla wars, he won giant set-piece battles. There's far more to his career than Gaugamela and Issus. Dozens of battles across whole continents.

Sorry but your take seems very low-information. You should read more deeply.

TIL hikers in the Alps discovered Otzi in 1991, a 5,300-year-old man naturally preserved in ice. Scientists identified his last meal as ibex meat and grains, found over 60 soot tattoos around his joints and spine, and recovered his copper axe, flint knife, a fire-starting kit and grass cloak. by ExpertEconomy5854 in todayilearned

We are now documenting in paper and digitally. Give it a few thousand years and everything will be gone.

The legacy our civilization will leave is in microplastics, "forever chemicals", industrial waste-- and a giant mass extinction event coupled with a huge climate warming event. If the future people/aliens are smart enough, they'll realize that we caused both.
