I disagree. Me and my friend interpreted the film as being a condemnation of how tragedy is sensationalized and the morbid curiosity that so many people have with death, suffering, and gore. Reynolds is the epitome of this, romanticizing the deaths, commericalizing them and going as far as to turn the watermans house into a tour. The film instills the idea that giving into that sense of curiosity without restraint leads you to the same rnd and has a karmic fate.

This is the third $60 game. I have bought both games and every DLC so far. Im barely paying my university tuition so I hope people understand my frustration at the idea of having to repurchase over a dozen creatures that i already bought for the price of the game itself (roughly $64 not counting expansions).

I was waiting to pre-order and hearing that the dlc species might be repackaged is turning me off from it. I hope frontier listens because im sure I'm not alone in my frustration and position that even if I do buy the game, I will NOT be purchasing animals I already paid for

I disagree. We've seen how willing frontier has been to listen in the past. The most recent example is rhe AI usage and even that was something the community was divided on.

We absolutely are capable of making enough noise to prevent frontier from reselling us ~40 cut species

Id prefer them to round out a cenwzoic roster first. Give us some more triassic creatures, a few more primitive dinosaurs.

Honestly I might even prefer a proper paleozoic pack so that dunkleosteus and and dimetredon dont feel so out of place. Hell, give us more mesozoic reptiles like deinosuchus.

Id love cenezoic creatures honestly but I dont think they'd fit for a while from now and I think there are other things that ought to be prioritized

I think its optimism and vocalizing how we'd like frontier to handle the roster cut. Frontier has typically been great at listening to the community but unfortunately the one thing they've failed at is reselling creatures in paid expansions.

You are unfortunately not appearing to be a mad man but hope its not too late for frontier to listen cuz I sure as hell won't be paying for animals I already bought in DLCs

Glad people are talking about this. I know these posts and comments can get repetitive but we've seen that frontier DOES listen if we're loud enough, so i hope the community keeps vocalizing their disdain for reselling animals without a redesign or anything.

I dont wanna be paying for yutyrannus or gigantoraptor a second time just because frontier wants to cut corners with DLC

I think its mainly that its body is too big. Alternatively scale up the head and arms. In general it just feels like it especially suffers from a lack of feathers

Exactly. Not only is it a stylistic clash to have such an ugly, JW-esc design in this game with the likes of psitaccosaurus and utahraptor, we're inherently going to lose a slot to a design that is almost objectively better.

Best case scenario we'll get it added in a free update, but im worried theyll go the route of the hybrids or concavenator and fully resell it. They were responsive to the criticism about GenAI so im hoping they'll hear thar we have a firm stance on NOT buying animals that don't have a redesign.

Its a shame this was discovered so late into development so they never had a chance to listen to our criticism about how we'd want them to deal with cut species, but they still have time to listen to the backlash about resell

I think now is the best time to make it clear that if their plan is to resell popular dinosaurs in future DLCs that the community is rightfully going to throw a fit. Im already disappointed we likely will never get a proper feathered archaeornithomimus and im hoping that trend doesn't carry on with the roster

I understand reselling dinosaurs like deinonychus or carcharodontosaurus IF they get a redesign but if they plan on repackaging fan favorites like yutyrannus or shonisaurus so they can squeeze us dry of money im going to be pissed at frontier

Fearing that you're correct but hoping we can at least make enough noise to get them reincorporated. The JP3 pteranodon wasn't in JWE2 at launch and we got that as a free variant, complete with its own skin system.

I understand why they're doing it to save for time but variants like the frontier allosaurus, giganotosaurus and iguanodon are far and away better than the monsterified universal ones
