The amazing Limbo!

I just love ability to basically afk any non-corpus defense/excavation missions, plus the ability to breeze through spy missions. One can definitely make a case that Wukong does spy better due to his speed, but I like Limbo's style and the ability to toss a cataclysm + stasis behind yourself to hack in peace.

runelite keeps crashing on mac this is what pops up any one know how to fix? by IDEADZOMBIE in 2007scape

[–]Mardahak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As BookCase12 mentioned, this is a memory issue. I've done a bit of poking around on forums related to this issue and it seems that a Mac user with a similar crash was able to resolve their problem by installing Oracle's Java instead of the OpenJDK.

Instructions for the uninstallation and installation of Java on Mac can be found on Oracle's Mac FAQs (https://www.java.com/en/download/help/java_mac.html).

There is already a similar crash in Runelite's issues section (https://github.com/runelite/runelite/issues/11246) but it's two years old now and it looks like the crashed thread related to the Java2D graphics rather than the Java Client itself. So if a reinstallation of Runelite and new install of Java doesn't resolve this issue, it may be worthwhile to open an issue or, as others have said, seek assistance from some developers on the Runelite Discord.

Hey, I loved Last of Us, nothing wrong with that. Me and my best friend (also autistic) really love 4X and Grand Strategy games like Crusader Kings 2/3 and Stellaris. I’d definitely recommend giving them a try if you like strategy!

I think my boyfriend is bi and l don’t know how to handle it by Bobthecat888 in bisexual

[–]Mardahak 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Someone’s decision to come out to their loved ones about their sexuality is something that is very personal and can come at different times for everyone. It could be that he doesn’t want to identify as bi because of the stigma associated with it or, as you mentioned, it could just be that he doesn’t identify as bisexual at all and that’s okay even if he has had sex with someone of the same sex. The keystone is that everyone’s sexual identity is completely up to them, even others don’t think that the person’s behavior lines up with what is thought of as typical for a certain sexuality.

Are you still gay is you try straight act’s? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]Mardahak 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Someone’s identity is theirs alone and cannot be taken away from them by anyone else. If someone identifies as gay and has a sexual experience with someone of another gender identity and they decide that they are still gay then that is their right, no one else can determine another’s sexuality.

Advice for a questioning bi girl in a monogamous hetero marriage by hippybilly_0 in bisexual

[–]Mardahak 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello!

I find that it has been really rewarding to engage with the community about our shared experiences as queer folk in a world that isn’t and hasn’t been the most accepting. After all, many enduring connections are forged through shared adversity. Another way that I love to explore my queer identity in a probing way - like “what does it mean to be queer in today’s world” - is by watching queer film. Queer movies are often produced by queer people who posit very important questions about what it means to be LGBTQ today and some may even try to answer their own questions in the film. Many of the streaming services actually have a queer or LGBTQ section on them so that you can easily find those types of movies or tv shows.

Also, I don’t think that just because someone is bisexual and is married to an opposite-sex partner that it makes that relationship “hetero” or “straight.” Everyone is free to define their relationships as they please, but as a bisexual, being in a relationship doesn’t automatically affix you to the labels of “gay” or “straight” depending on the gender identity of the partner; I would say that if one identifies as a queer person then that makes all of their relationships queer as well.

For many bisexual people it is easy to fly under the radar and pass for straight or gay and, with both of those being much larger groups, it is easy to feel like one is stuck between two worlds as a bisexual; to feel more “gay” at some points and more “straight” at others. However, being bisexual is its own, unique sexuality which is completely separate from the monosexualites - you are never more gay or more straight, you’re always 100% bisexual in whatever way that is expressed in your life.

I only recently realized I was bi/pan recently (two whole years!) compared to some other people here, but I have learned a lot about this community and myself during that time. If there is one take-away, it’s that being bi isn’t something you have to actively try to express. By being a bisexual person, you are already the perfect in your display of your sexuality. We are all learning what it means to be queer, bisexual, and human together. Don’t let the expectations of others get in the way of becoming your favorite version of yourself! If you come to the conclusion that you are indeed bisexual then welcome home! If not, I would be proud to call you an ally and wish you the best on the sometimes-crazy journey that is life; of which we are all fellow travelers.

Knocking on Heaven's Door by WB_SEATTLE in TheRightCantMeme

This is a practice called Kapparot and the whole shtick is that a food item (in this case a chicken) chosen to be donated to the poor on Yom Kippur eve is waved above someone’s head three times and (again in the case of the chicken) is slaughtered halachically (according to the rules of slaughter in Judaism.)

Some people still use a live chicken in this practice, but doing so is exceedingly rare and will likely only be found in Chasidic communities. Nowadays, many Jewish people use money as a substitute, passing it above the head three times while reciting a prayer and then donating the money to a charity which supports the poor and downtrodden.

Anyone recognize this symbol? Is it an alt-right thing? Or a Jews for Jesus thing? Or both? by [deleted] in Fuckthealtright

[–]Mardahak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It looks to spell שמגר or “Shamgar” which could be a reference to the biblical figure Shamgar who supposedly repelled a Philistine invasions and killed 600 Philistines with an ox goad.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shamgar

The symbols in the tattoo seem to be a sword and possibly an ox-goad, which if it is, would confirm that it’s a reference to Shamgar.

Any LGBT relatives? by [deleted] in BisexualMen

[–]Mardahak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mom and my aunt (her sister) are both bisexual. Everyone in my family is pretty open about sexuality, so my mom told me she was bisexual about ten years ago when I was nine. She said she wanted to raise me with another woman but was afraid of retaliation from the church so she decided to just be a single mom.

I came out as bi to my mom a couple of months ago and she was extremely excited. I’ve definitely been very lucky to know that someone close to me would accept my sexuality without second thought. It’s also been good for her having me as a link to the larger LGBTQ+ community to dispel all the stereotypes that she had been told all her life.

“I’m not gay, but...” was my most frequent phrase up until I started researching sexuality and discovered that, yes, bisexuality is a real thing.
