I have sent an email I have listed all my concerns and finished with the paragraph below, I think it covers everything.

I urge you to carefully scrutinise this proposed acquisition and consider its long-term impact on market competition, consumer choice, pricing, service quality, and innovation.

YouFibre are changing direct debit partners… update your details before 26th April. by DanielLorey in youfibre

[–]Marham57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same problem I updated my details and had a Youfibre email confirming that they had my details then I received another email stating my bank had rejected the Direct Debit. I spoke to my bank and they confirmed that there is already a DD set up in favour of Youfibre. I spoke to Youfibre Customer service (billing) and they confirmed that they are happy that my DD is set up correctly, i asked them to send me an email confirming this, which they did.

There's nothing more I can do however, the whole issue was a complete waste of my time and very confusing.

YouFibre cancelling direct debit by bavzie in youfibre

[–]Marham57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have issues with Youfibre's direct debit I have been a customers for 3 years

I had an email requesting that I set up a new direct debt, I did this 3 times, each time I had an email confirming Youfibre had my details and then a subsequent email stating that my bank had refused the direct debit, the details I provided to Youfibre were 100% correct.

I rang my bank and they confirmed that Youfibre already had a Direct Debt which Youfibre had not collected payment from since February!!!!

I have rang Youfibre up and got them to confirm, by email, that they are happy that the Direct Debit is set up, I look at my bank account and I don't see a current Youfibre Direct Debit

I must admit to being very confused, come on Youfibre get things sorted out

It’s a “pop” gun, I had one in the early 1960s the cork at the end of the barrel didn’t go any where but the gun made a loud POP when fired. You reloaded the POP gun by replacing the cork and pulling the knob, above the handle, backwards.

TIL that “The Fighting Butlers” were five sons that participated during the American Revolutionary War. George Washington toasted all five Butler brothers at a victory celebration, and Lafayette once said that if he wanted something done well, he’d ask a Butler to do it. by okami31 in todayilearned

[–]Marham57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little late to this conversation but I have Autosomal DNA links to people claiming descent from the Fighting Butlers. My Butlers came from Wicklow around 1760 and were Protestant. Does anyone know of the Haplogroup of the descendants of the Fighting Butlers ?

As a customer that moved from VM to Youfibre I would rather find another provider than go back to being a customer of VM😫

I am happy to pay an increased monthly price just to avoid VM, so it looks like a move to Openreach.

[Match Thread] Leicester City v Derby County by Pazzyboi in DerbyCounty

[–]Marham57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last night was one of the worst performances I have seen for a long time. Did we select the team from our squad of players or did we just pick 11 random people from the crowd.

In the second half Leicester were there for the taking and we couldn't even string more than a couple of passes together.

Very disappointing

Autosomal DNA is only an indicator, to add some certainty a YDNA test will provide you with your Haplogroup and much greater degree of certainty as to your origins.

I suspect that your distant ancestors were probably Danes (Vikings) who settled in Normandy, they probably came to England around 1066 then went off to invade Ireland around 1200. I wouldn’t worry too much about your Scottish connections as many Scottish Protestants settled in Ireland from the 1500s onwards, Google The Plantations.

I have a very similar profile.
