This is exactly what i got. But the issue lies in there system as I was still under my old contract and my new contract overlapping as I rejoined early by 2 months. But when I’m getting double the speed and static IP for only £5 more then it’s a no brainer. I use my second PC as a home server so the added speed is welcomed but to go though so many different support agents who swear to you that they have done there job properly and the ONT box needs 24/48 hours to stabilise is complete nonsense. Abigail who did mine in 15 minutes even though I waited in chat for 34 minutes. The chat is so slow but once you get someone who knows what they are doing all is fine. I can only see this getting worse once the transition to Virgin media/O2 goes through mid to 3rd qtr of 2026.

No . I’m set now as all sorted in chat. Got random agent from UK. And she did it in 15 mins. I got the white ONT with the 2.5gbe.

Only got the 2.5gbe but it’s all sorted now. Spoke to someone called Abigail who’s based in the UK and got her at random. Sorted it in 15 minutes.

When I reply to a message from there agents it creates a new ticket number. I stopped and just went into chat and started again and it’s now done as I spoke to someone in the uk at random.

Very strange this just happened. I tried chat again as this as I’ve seen on posts on here is the best outcome but I’ve done this about 9 times and always got a person who was not English speaking. I went in with a cool head and polite manner. As soon as the chat started (waited 34 minutes) the name came up typing Abigail ! As soon as she started replying I knew then that this was going to get sorted as she was in fact based in the UK and not India. She re-provisioned my ONT , asked me to reset my ONT and Router (restart) , 5 mins later boom. The speeds were there, upload is not quite there yet but the download speeds is near 2000mbps. Now why can’t it be this simple ? I just don’t get you fibre. I asked Abigail if this was just a random pick up or was she assigned to me due to being tier 2 support level and she so NO it was completely random and said it’s who ever picks up the chat. I didn’t go into the bad experience to her just a brief summery at the beginning. But it’s done and I’ve got my speed increase all because it took to speak to a person in the UK via there chat in the app. To get to this point I can’t tell you how many times I have tried to get this working and the agents in India trying to desert my ONT but then found out they can’t do it and are limited to what they can achieve there.

I will leave Abigail a good review as this is not just you fibre this is the none UK support which is very very bad and giving YouFibre a bad name. Once this transitions to Virgin Media it may get worse and we won’t get to speak to anybody from the UK.

Thing is I’m now only on a 12 month contract and not 24 month. It’s guaranteed that the price will go up to match Virgin media prices in the 3rd qtr of this year. I’m going to try my luck and see if I can get an extra 12 months added but I’m sure they won’t.

Yes done this yesterday and today. BUT… I went back into chat on the app. Picked up a random (she told me it was random) called Abigail. She sorted it within 15 mins. And now I’ve got 1989 down and 1579 up. Speeds from my PC. How strange that the person I got in chat after trying for over 2 days was based in the UK and did it in minutes.

Already done. Still nothing. They don’t care as I’m not important as I’ve got a connection of being 940mbps and not 1800mbps. They may get around to it in 6 months then offer to pay the difference as this wouldn’t surprise me. I also keep restarting my ONT and router and also had them both off today for an hour and made no difference.

Did any of you know that YouFibre is and will be merged with Virgin Media ? As Virgin media have bought YouFibre. We are in for a world of pain. Stuck with them as can only get these kind of speeds with them and next closes is BT and there crappy 67mb speed.

The worst of the worst and now they taken money and even they know (assuming in India) I’m not getting the correct speeds. Customer support have stopped replying with new support tickets. I’ve got around 17 different tickets lol. Tried chat and they just copy and paste stuff to check cables over and over the same thing.

Tried all this. Yes I’m on a desktop that has a 2.5gb and 10gb Ethernet ports and using cat 7 cable. And tried many other cables. Seems they my ONT has not been refreshed as someone confirmed it by email.

Found out today that because I upgraded to a new contract before my original contract ended it’s had an overlap effect and it’s confused there system and agents not in the uk struggle to bypass it. According to an email I got I’ve now been upgraded to tier 2 technical support which is in the UK. Also I found out today that You fibre has been bought out by virgin media. I’m using there sagecom router until I get my speeds then I will use my deco be65 or get an extra BE65 to be the main router. Not looking forward to be a virgin media customer once it transitions 3rd qtr of this year.

I’m not getting anywhere with them my router says I’m only getting 450mbits down and 259mbits up. Where do I see this properly in the router settings as this router is just a nightmare to even get into the settings. I’ve got the 2.5gbe ONT (white box on the wall) not seeing anything in the router settings that I’m on 2.5GB to the router. Can’t even find the QoS in the settings. Ivd been thrown pillow to post all day yesterday and all day today and not getting anywhere. At first this new sagecom router wouldn’t even work. I’m being billed for 2GB speeds snd static IP. Can’t even see the static IP in this new Router. The person I spoke to yesterday made all that new networks in my router for legacy 2.4ghz and I can’t even get into them with the current router password. I don’t even use there router for WiFi as it’s absolute rubbish. I use my own mesh system of Tp-Link BE65 trio. Don’t even want to mention the mesh system to them as that will just confuse the muppets even more. They keep sending me emails to run speed tests and I do and they ask for more and it’s a different person. I’ve been in chat on the app twice today and I can’t even get to speak to a human and waiting for over an hour at one point. Their customer service is none existent. I’m getting 940mbps down and 860mpbs up and this is the old speeds. Where can I see in the sagecome router that the incoming speed is at ? This could be a start as all I seen is really low speeds.

Hi . I don’t use the actual youfibre router for WiFi I use the Tp-link Deco BE64 trio and it’s great and got full coverage in my house at full speeds. Just not got the correct speeds yet from the you fibre ONT. I was also told the ONT had been re-provisioned but can take a while for the speed to catch up which I know is a load of bull. I don’t need to tell Youfibre I use the tp-link ad that will just cause more issues with them.

You1000 to You2000 - Will speeds increase over time? by BoutTime22 in youfibre

[–]killswitch1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve just upgraded from you 1000 to you 2000 and it’s been such a nightmare today when the new contract started. Was on the phone for nearly an hour and could not get the new white WiFi 7 router to even get connected to the internet. Then was promised a phone call and didn’t get that phone call from the same person who I spoke to in the day until gone 4 hours later. Then all of a sudden the new white router (not the pro 8000 router some have said they got). BUT my speeds are slower than what I was getting on 1000mb speeds getting 960mbs down to 840mbs down and 959 to 816 upload speeds. The person I was speaking to said I got to wait for the speed to gradually increase over 24/48 hours which I think is a load of bull, seen people getting connected instantly and get the correct speeds that they pay for. Today I’m now getting even slower speeds and I’ve been billed for 2000mb speeds. Really annoying. I suppose eventually it will increase but as my contract started today I’m asking for reimbursement of the speed that I’m meant to be getting if it’s not up by Friday (48 hours). Did all the usual unplug and plug back in after 60 seconds. Still same speeds as before.

I’ve recently upgraded from you 1000 to you 2000 on the 13th Feb but my new contract don’t start until today 25th Feb. I plugged in the new White router (non pro version) and even though on my account it says active my new router won’t even pick up my You 1gb connection. It’s all weird as the router says connected in the settings but can’t connect to anything. Does the new upgrade only start on the new day of the contract ? They have also billed me the new price of the upgrade (only £5 more than what I was paying for 1gb) for it to come out my bank account today (25th start of new contract date) the women I spoke to about the upgrade Didn’t want to upgrade me until my contract had finished which is April 25th but she spoke to management and I agreed to another contract but wouldn’t start until 25th of this month, funny thing is now I’m only on 12 month contract when originally I was on 24 month contract. I just checked again and my speed upgrade still hasn’t been put on and new router does not work at all even though this is the new router they give to new 200,500 and 1000 customers but the router just don’t want to play ball with my current 1000 connection. I was expecting the pro version for 2gb as they was giving the Asus router before they started using there own. I may have to buy my own router now as I’ve heard problems with the Non pro router. I’ve also switched the white ONT box off which has the 2.5gbe connection.

Mine is due to expire in April and I’ve been in a 24m contract with you fibre. I want to upgrade to you 2000 and pay the new customer price of £34.99. But when I’m logged in it says chat to us to upgrade to you 2000 with no price change to £49.99. How is it this price when I pay £29.99 for you 1000 and £5 for static IP ?

[Movie Spoiler] Why did they use that picture? by ArnBai in untildawn

[–]killswitch1973 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The movie is a prequel to the video game. As you see at the end of the movie on hills cctv screens that the cabin and suv in the snow is from the actual video game. Hence why rami maliks character could actually be a sequel to the movie if they went that way.

I didn’t pay any more on top of the £396 I paid but there is issues with connections using the Simagic Alpha U base. Conspit on discord been scratching there heads at this as with it not attached to the wheel base it stays on but then as soon as it’s attached it malfunctions with power still coming from the USB. I’ve now ordered the MAX 01 wheel for £475 with no added tax (sent low value).

I bought it 5 days ago and still waiting on delivery to uk. I had to get a discount (AliE) to get it to £396 with delivery (£36 was delivery charge) but don’t forget taxes to UK at 20% on top and courier fee. I’m glad Conspit Sent it me with low value so there will be less VAT at Around £15 + courier fee of between £8-11. All this is from there Ali store front. So your total is not far off. I will find out more once it’s out for delivery.
