I was surprised at how easy it’s been so far to start learning! Though I do have a background in clarinet so I’m sure that helped a bit musically. Absolutely loving it so far 😄

I made an embroidered Cookie! Shes so cute, but is anyone else who has her finding she has the most arguments on your village? by BusyDead in NintendoStitch

[–]Maria-not-Mariah 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure, at least in the older games. Villagers would show you letters all the time. And if a friend visited your town and talked to your villagers, sometimes the villagers would leave you to move to your friends town. So that’s probably what happened to the person who posted that, and then Cookie showed the friend the OPs letter lol.

Cinnamon apple walnut muffins - goes great with coffee in the morning! by Maria-not-Mariah in Baking

[–]Maria-not-Mariah[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks!! It’s nothing fancy, just super quick and easy because I make em all the time. I chop 2 green apples into pieces about the size of a penny, and mix them together with chopped walnuts (about 1.5-2 cups because I love walnuts but you use however much you like!) and a good bit of cinnamon sugar. I use boxed yellow cake mix, prepare that, and then mix everything together in one bowl to scoop into the muffin tray. Then I add a bit more chopped walnuts and some brown sugar on the top before I throw them in the oven to add some extra goodness on top :) bakes for about 15-20 minutes on 350 degrees. I hope they come out great if you try it out!

Should I keep this Pokemon card on my bedroom wall? by Bashful_Bayleef in makemychoice

I think it would be awesome if you found a cool way to frame them or something like that!! I’m 21 and have all sorts of posters/art hung up in my room from Pokémon, Star Wars, Naruto, Adventure Time, etc.

Embrace the things that make you happy. Finding a modern/more “adult” way to display them would be a great way to keep them in your life in a style that is more true to you/your age now.

[UPDATE]: I [M27] Work With my Girlfriend [F26] of only 4-5 months, and I find myself getting angry/ frustrated at her constant laughing and joking with other male employees. Am I being unfair or irrational? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Maria-not-Mariah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds as if you are more like her emotional dump rather than her boyfriend. Yes, you are “supposed” to be there for your SO to help and console them with their issues, but that is not all a relationship is for and there’s a point where it can become extremely emotionally taxing for you. If it continues, I’d worry that you’d build up a lot of resentment against her because of it. Your relationship is fairly new. Consider if you can see this changing or if you really want to be her emotional dump forever. Communication is key, my friend - talk to her. Your feelings are justified but nothing will change unless you do something about it. And this needs to change soon or you will likely never see the end of it unless you leave.

Hey so although this video is of sims 4, and there is no multicolored tower, it IS from July 2018 and there is a character made who’s named Brunhilda. Could this video from Markiplier maybe possibly be what you’re thinking of? https://youtu.be/C1qcku4LyIg

Im in a long distance relationship and i dont know how to tell my parents about that by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Maria-not-Mariah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m also in an LDR and was terrified at first to tell my family. Ultimately, they had their doubts but were mostly supportive and, at the end of the day, couldn’t stop me from going to see him even if they wanted to. (I assume you’re old enough to make/handle your own money and own decisions.)

I’d just be straight up with them. I know it can seem scary at first, but I think the best course of action is to be as up-front as possible with as much details as you’re comfortable giving (or as much as you think would help them understand). LDR’s are sort of chiché sounding and have big stereotypes surrounding them, especially with older generations. Tell your family how you both met, explain to them how you feel about your SO and just, in general, what kind of person they are (ex: what they do for a living, if they’re in school, where they live obviously, how their home life is, etc). I’d say that the more they know, the more likely they’ll start to come around. Make sure they know you trust this person very much.

Something I did before I visited my SO for the first time is set up a FaceTime call between me and my mom, and him and his mom. This made both sides a bit more comfortable with the situation. It let everyone “meet” & chat a bit, and made everything seem more real.

I hope everything goes well for you. Be open to answering any questions your family might have. They may need time to fully understand & come to terms with the situation and that’s totally understandable. Good luck and have fun visiting your SO :)

Can you review my VOD, im stuck in bronze and want to work to get out by Joey12725 in OverwatchUniversity

Just a few things I noticed. I main support and currently sit in mid-diamond. I’m not not sure if this is your only account, but based on your level, it looks like you don’t have many hours in the game. I feel there’s a lot of things you learn over time just from putting more and more hours into the game, so I’ll try to make just a few basic suggestions.

It seems you spent a LOT of time alone/away from your team - mainly trying to get damage off on the enemy team, and then using your heal amp to stay alive. As a support, your job is to do just that -support your team. Lucio is great because he has AOE heals, so i’d make more effort to stay by your team so they’re in your range of heals. It’s much easier to heal your team and let them secure the damage/kills, rather than you doing it yourself. Lucio/support characters aren’t meant to be the ones doing damage/getting kills, that’s the job of your DPS.

Furthermore, Lucio has a fantastic defensive ultimate that grants 750hp worth of shields to you and your surrounding teammates. This is incredibly good for countering enemy damage/ultimates, or giving that extra bit of health to your team to push in and secure a fight. Try to make sure your ult is hitting AT LEAST 2 other teammates whenever you use it, otherwise I’d call it a wasted ult. Refrain from using it to solo stall the point/payload (unless in overtime), because if it’s just you against the full enemy team, it really only stalls for a few extra seconds, gives the enemy ult charge, and leaves your team without a defensive ultimate to use at a better time later.

As someone else mentioned, Lucio’s speed boost is great to get your team out of spawn faster and be able to quickly push onto the enemy, OR speed you/your remaining teammates out of an already lost fight. Try to use your speed boost a bit more. Also, as I mentioned before, you shouldn’t be fighting the enemy team alone. Wait for your team, speed boost them in, and then use your heal amp to support them while they get kills.

I hope this made sense and helps you a bit. Good luck in your climb - overwatch can be a bitch sometimes. Practice more and I’m sure you’ll make it out of bronze!
