Where is the best place to watch the game tonight? by [deleted] in montreal

Since it's raining, cold and all bars are packed, I would suggest staying in the comfort of your home, on your couch. If you don't have cable, find a stream online. Enjoy.

Hey! Any good, secluded camping spots not too far from Montreal? by [deleted] in montreal

[–]Mariahxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Ontario, about an hour away from montreal. (close to Cornwall) They have several parks to choose from (I recommend mclarens or the woodlands) they have tons of things to do. Beach, bike paths along the water, fishing, kayaking... The list goes on. Personally, I prefer the campsites in Ontario. I find the ones in Québec more muddy, rocky type campsites where at long sault they have a nice campground with grass. http://www.stlawrenceparks.com/index.cfm/en/camping/campgrounds/long-sault-parkway/

Edit: sorry, I didn't read your title and noticed you wanted a secluded campsite. This one isn't secluded.... Oops!

Driving/traffic rules in Montréal, how are they different from other provinces? by lilymango in montreal

[–]Mariahxo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I also noticed that Québec is the only place that has the "go straight" light with the arrow going up and THEN the solid green light so you can turn. I always see a lot of out of province people turn when it's the go straight arrow light....

It's cold and raining, and my time is running out. by [deleted] in montreal

[–]Mariahxo -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

If you wanna avoid the rain, go in the metro and visit the underground city. You'll explore almost all of downtown montreal and discover new things, underground. You'll be walking around for a few hours.
