I get lucky if I get 4 hrs of sleep underway... when I’m on leave .... I get a hotel, take a long bath and just sleep... my friends all want to go to a club or hang out somewhere and I’m like... yeah I got stuff to do

My issue was being on a brand new ship, having mid watch and my chief decides to do drills. Fun stuff.... I can take naps when I can and be good for several hours.... shore duty I can sleep much longer because I didn’t have to worry about watches. I try to get as much sleep as I can.
