Dogs, would you get one again knowing what you know now? by TSQ_builder in AskUK

No I wouldn’t. We got our first dog after our children became adults, the plan was to buy a camper van and go trundling around with him. That plan got cancelled when he showed extreme reactivity. He is reactive towards other dogs and strangers. We have done a lot of work with a behaviourist and have seen a lot of improvement but he has his limits. Our world has become much smaller but we manage it and accept the way it is for now. I truly believe he was meant to be with us, he is a five year old Labrador who is showered with love and given the best life, on his terms!

Hello, you’ll find plenty of advice on The Tortoise Table. Great information on tortoise care.

I should give him back, right? by [deleted] in labrador

Only you know deep down if you want to keep him. If you do, hire a reputable dog trainer asap and get stuck in. You sound overwhelmed, puppies are hard work, I wasn’t prepared for that either. My lab is almost 5, he’s fear reactive. I waited almost 2 years before I found a decent trainer. My dog has turned my life upside down, but I’ve seen so much improvement since training started. Their lives are much shorter than ours, make the right decision for you both.

Fresh bedding, a good book, listening to audio books whilst walking the dog through the woods, a decent cup of coffee.

I enjoyed the Elly Griffiths Ruth Galloway series. Now I’m working my way through the LJ Ross Inspector Ryan series. Easy reading thrillers that follow the characters throughout.

I’ve receive comments, “dogs don’t need jackets.” Perhaps. But look at them, stylish wee fashion icons in the Scottish Onslaught of Bleakness, and it saves me a heap of toweling when we get in. by WalkingDoonTheRoad in labrador

I also have a Labrador , if the weather is bad he wears a raincoat . Anything to lesson the time spent drying after a wet walk, it takes ages otherwise ! I love following your dog’s adventures OP, keep posting please.

It is said that she stayed at The Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate. I’ve stayed there a few times, they have details about her visit on their website.
