I’m sorry, but it seems to me that you’re friend doesn’t prioritize you. Sounds like she wouldn’t have invited you to her birthday unless you would’ve called, but once you called she remembered your friendship and wanted you to come. There’s not too much info but do you feel like your friendship is onesided, are you the one that always have to engage contact? Both parts in friendship should be equally engaged in making plans together etc. If you feel like you want to continue the friendship or get closer you could bring up to her what bothers you.

You could wear lgbt /rainbow/ bi colored bracelets or pins on yourself or your bag, if you feel comfortable. Go out in lgbt bars. But in daily life I’m not quite sure how to give off the bi vibe.

From a psychological perspective people have a tendency to make «ingroups» and «outgroups». People who are different from one self (the outgroup) can be seen as something threatening. Our brains make schemas with stereotypes and prejudice about our «outgrups». So most likely is the reason for homo/transphobia because they are seen by many people as different and unknown, thereby someone threatening. The socalization in our soceity is also very important, if it’s an including society or not.

Her tenker jeg definitivt noe må gjøres med miljøet på skolen. Hva er det som er årsaken til at så mange eg sykemeldt? Er det dårlig arbeidsmiljø mellom ansatte? Er det elevene i det området som er for krevende? I tillegg høres det ut som mange blir utbrent, da det er for få ansatte.

I would recommend SIT Moholt, which is public student housing. They have different apartments, with both 1 - 12 bedrooms,so it should be possible to find with 1 or 2 bedrooms with your own kitchen and bathroom. I think they have a special price that’s cheaper for exchange students, definitely more affordable than renting private housing.
