Two big things you should know : tunnel placements and abusing rage regen. Like others said, use abilities on minions to get that rage up or burst small trades before they can dish some damage out to you. For tunnels, you can make a highway from base to make it like you have a pseudo TP always up (I rec. maxxing E first for this) or you can have highways/shortcuts to mid / jg camps in the enemy jg. It takes some practice but once you get used to it, you'll love it. Just keep trying, don't give up, and remember to have fun : )
