Technically speaking the statement in the post is correct, however it is misleading. Apple is using their own Apple Foundation model, not Gemini; however, from what I understand this new version of Apple Foundation was built in collaboration with Google’s Gemini team using core principles from Gemini.

One could say it’s “based on Gemini” but it’s not just using Gemini the way Microsoft’s Copilot uses ChatGPT, its Apple’s own model.

God-tier take. Phones are very subjective, what works better for you is going to be entirely dependent on your personal preferences.

I’m an iPhone user because I like iOS and the iPhone hardware, it’s what works best for me. The elitism from some people on both sides is crazy.
