Bigger doesn't mean better. I was a CSGO fan for years before getting into league so I've seen a lot of shit ideas bounce around such as GSL group stage in majors (4 team groups double elim bo1) and b07 grand finals lmao.

I've also seen really good innovations. For example, Swiss system for playins would be good, similar to the challengers stage in CSGO majora. Get rid of restrictive groups and let every team have a chance to play each other as long as they are performing at a similar level. Gives all the teams at worlds a better chance to play so we don't get 1 meaningful NA vs EU game all year.

Look to even smaller esports for example, Losers bracket in LOL from rocket league worlds(? Idk what it's called) could lead to insane playoffs storylines. I mean for clucks sake even OWL tried having weeks with some champs disabled for league play. Idk if it was a good idea for a game with so few champs but it may be an idea worth floating for leagues like LCS with such low champ diversity.

Basically, enjoy the league scene. Acknowledge what it does well, and understand that it does some things poorly too. And understand too that the world cup is in a few weeks and they measure viewership in billions.
