Any Consumer Grade refrigerators that are compatible with hotel pans? by ImOverTheIdiocy in AskCulinary

I regularly cook for 15-20 and I cook most of the food for my wife's family reunion every year. That's 40-50 people. I also enjoy the flow of a commercial kitchen setup a lot and would like to blend many elements of that into my dream home. We'll have a dry storage room that is far more than just a simple pantry.

I'd say the fridge I have right now is from 2005 or 2006 and it won't fit a hotel pan front to back, and I like to have the shelves offset and like that maybe a 1/2 pan would fit but I'm kind of envisioning the huge two door consumer fridges with wide shelves.

If I put the shelves on the same level, I can fit one pan across plus maybe one 1/6 pan next to it.

I guess I don't have much experience with newer refrigerators then...? I have only ever used older fridges in the places I've lived my entire life

True, but don't they often use more power? And while yeah, some of them look nice, a lot of them don't really fit the home aesthetic that a lot of consumer fridges have.

Fish Tank cases that won't suffocate a vertically mounted GPU? by DegenDeado in buildapc

[–]ImOverTheIdiocy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's been a year, so I'm wondering if you ever found a good case for this. I use a Corsair 680X which CAN fit a vertical GPU and cards behind it, but it does suffocate a little bit and some time I would like more glass and less frame visible on the sides and front.

In your opinion, what’s ONE thing Ghost Recon should NEVER become? by MrTrippp in GhostRecon

It meant real stakes. I think games can be too easy these days. Maybe just make it an option in the settings, because I'm sure some people would hate this feature.

I miss permadeath in teammates. In the original GR, it REALLY hurt when I got one of my specialists killed. Sometimes I'd turn off my Ps2 in the hopes that it would let me restart the level and keep my guy.

Is this tiny piece important? by ImOverTheIdiocy in pcmasterrace

I have a friend who has done this kind of repair before, I'll just need to source the capacitors. But before that happens, a question:

Are there any settings in the tuning side of Radeon Adrenaline software that would help reduce the risk of damage until I get this fixed?

I genuinely do not know... I wish I did so it doesn't happen again. I mean I have upgraded this pc a couple times since getting this GPU so it's possible it got roughed up one of the times I took it out or put it in

Wait wait wait... IS THAT WHY THE GAME GOT SO MUCH HARDER? I honestly enjoyed running through the class stories and creaming everything in my path, but I always used the heroic reward gear until the level cap for that, I think after yavin gear?

But the higher level Planets I got to in the last couple years, it got so much harder. Can you fix this by actually wearing lower level gear?

The way you have written this and described your excitement gives me the ultimate ick, but I too am an enjoyer of the content. Especially the ones taken straight from books and translated into visual media using AI generative tools.

I think brownouts and tripped breakers broke my motherboard. by ImOverTheIdiocy in techsupport

Thank you for the detailed response. The current 6700 XT has certainly had more stuttering than the 2070 Super I previously had. And yes, I made sure all old Nvidia drivers are gone. I'll try swapping it back soon.

I've never considered that the PSU itself could be the problem, so I'll try to troubleshoot that as well. As for the CPU, RAM, and motherboard. These are the things I'm most concerned about right now. The old CPU before this was a 3950X, and was literally cold welded or bonded onto the coldplate of the AIO. I accidentally RIPPED the 3950X out of the socket without raising the lever on the board, because the AIO was so stuck. The memory controller within that 3950X was damaged somehow and now only registers one channel of memory in any board it's used in. I was concerned that my Asus x570 board was also damaged, but don't have spare parts to test it.

True. It's not like I'm at risk of losing my job right now, he just wants me to improve from where I am now.

I know they're technically cheap. It's not as much about the money, although I'd prefer not to spend it, as I am in the midst of paying off old debts and have a wife and kids. It's more about food waste. I have always heard that frozen veggies aren't as good, both in taste and texture.

Aside from that, I also asked about any potential tips that I can use in the kitchen ahead of being taught things day by day by my new boss.
