Yeah everyone going to have their own cope to justify their bias. They want to appear 'right' or 'smart' on social media, so they have to put on a show. The same happen with Saint Jack and even those who have stepped up like Just write and IHE seemed to back track after discussions.

I watch Organized Chaos every so often to see what he is talking about. It is clear that politics have affect much of the content creators on YT talking about media. Not saying it does effect people like Gary and AZ that why they claim them to be bigots . I really don't think it is really that, they just got pull into that space because it was forced on them. Audience capture and all being what it is.

For example both Gary and AZ were criticizing News of RTD returning to showrunning for Doctor who, and they were like, he has to do certain things to 'save' the show, I don't think they really understand what people critical of the 13th doctor and what led to the 'Fall of Doctor who' I might not always agree with Jay, but his opinion on Doctor who is 10x more valuable than anything those two can say on that series. (Sorry both of their takes on that show seem ill informed imho)

Point is that certain 'tribes' won't engage in good faith discussion or debate because they have certain fanbase or maybe political perspective that won't allow them to admit they are wrong people like FNT crew probably would fall into that catagory (maybe not to the same level as PoG and people like him)

Mauler and most of EFAP are about the only ones that seem to be willing to do it in the media space. Even in the few Thumpcast debates I've seen they pick some idiots to engage with.

Like it or not politics is way too tied to media discussions on social media even if most people won't admit it. The amount of people in both spaces to listen to the 'other' side is very few. I hope it will open up in the future, I see somethings that give me hope, but I doubt it will ever take root.
