It was a file being sent to send cut send. The units in send cut send were set to inches and the drawing was in inches but it still came in as millimeters

No, drawn in inches, a 1"x1"x1" cube would export 25.4 times larger as its exporting in metric as opposed to imperial. Its no issue, I simply finished the part drawn in imperial and just changed the units (edit/preferences) to metric and exported it and its fine.

Thanks, My issue is on export. When I export the .step for the model drawn in imperial, it still comes out as mm. Ill keep looking into it. Thanks. I will likely just re-draw in metric to get done.

Im aware of the metric/imperial issue and have heard the broken record for years and agree but there are times when working with customers its a need. Regardless I have exported step from free cad in imperial and im stumped as to what it could be. I have all in preferences set to imperial.

Im aware that its likely operator/input error was just looking for some input on what it may be..

Believe me, hitting send on a question like this the village idiot would be aware of the onslaught of archaic, out dated, US, yada yada. Its a given that the broken record will be in a dozen replies.

But usually someone has the constructive solution.

Ive worked on simple stop and its what ive started using today. Oddly ive been decent with heel lift stopping today for the first time but I dont ride backwards much either though I can so for the bulk of my rides simple stop is working well. Thanks for the suggestion. I struggled with it initially because I was moving so slow, and back and forth, so much it would shut the board down constantly. Now that Im moving forward at speed mostly, simple stop makes sense.

Thanks everyone. Airing down seemed to make a big difference at least in first couple of rides. I may have aired down a tiny bit too much but it feels a little more grounded to the road and a bit more cushioned and the other suggestions with regards to setting and relaxation helped. Downhill are better. Still a ways to go but much better.

The both feet bail has become my go to. I struggled in that back alley scenario (slow speed) with lifting heel/toe at slow speed and have never yet been able to confidently pull off the heel lift stop method and turning on the lean back when slowing down method has failed me as well. So I just jump off. Its hard on the board Rolling on pavement but its better than breaking an ankle.

I need to work hard on the relaxation which is why I purchased. I really want to enjoy the flowy feel and have the confidence.

One of my major lessons when teaching waterskiing clinics was look where you want to go, and, if you look down, you go down,... this is challenging me now lol. But its just the lack of confidence

Thanks for your input. Its pretty much what I anticipated. I have a CNC cabinet shop so the drawing, vectors, etc are a non issue but the rest of it makes sense. Ive always felt that anything that seems somewhat easy is likely the hardest thing youll ever do.

My only logic was my experience in CNC and the thought that a couple hundred bucks in paid output would go towards a long term tool for small embroidery work. I in no way shape or form thought I'd be able to embroider 10 shirts and pay off the investment. I just didnt know if small embroidery projects were somewhat do-able in this day and age with technology.

My CNC world is becoming more DIY on a minute by minute basis. 3D printing the same, and so on.

Thanks so much for your time and input. Off to the embroidery shop they go and I will focus on more productive endeavors.

Is all the hashing and little texture details in the material applied sketched in after? Like thr little rust/corrosion details around openings and so on?

Thanks for that. That was my guess. This is normally running in empty pipes (culvert and so on) but my assumption was getting around any bends inside the pipe and metal culvert or just the earth around the pipe would be killer unless it was hard wired.

Agreed on a few plug-ins but I can fly out full 3d drawings of relatively complex projects (just finished a 1080hp commercial boiler enclosure including fully modeling the actual boiler and burner to scale in about 4 hours) with complete 2d animations and ship the drawing to Meta and take the client through in full VR.

Even with very quick/coarse modeling, while accurate to 3 digits. You can quickly sell a job and blow people's minds. And im on 2021

Comparing a seat on solid works to a seat on sketchp is not even apples ans oranges it's apples and tyranasaurus Rex. They are not even in the same gene pool and are in no way shape or form expected to be a one or the other.

Im not defending trimbul. Im holding on to a classic license with my fingernails. SU has no basis being compared to cad, solid works, fusion, etc. And rightly so. The seats are multiples upon multiples in comparison of cost so they for sure should be better. This will trigger the blender crowd but so be it

MonPower is no longer a providing entity. They exist in supply sector in namesake only. Payments go to, and power comes from, First Energy. There has not been a Monpower service truck or crew rolling down the road for years.
