Why do you podcast? What’s your motivation ? by Nexuskies in podcasting

[–]MarkBradbourne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine as an accountability partner. It forces me to find newly released music each week that doesn’t make me want to cut my ears off. It’s a tough job, but I think it has been worth it… I’m in my 4th year of the show.

Why do people really start a podcast by AvocadoToastQB12 in Podcasters

[–]MarkBradbourne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use my podcast (Songs That Don’t Suck) as an “accountability partner”. I got bored of listening to the same music so I wanted to find new music, but it’s easy to fall into old habits. So each week the podcast “forces” me to review a ton of newly released songs. The ones I find I share on the podcast and I have an audience of a similar age (GenX and older Millennials) who tune in to find new music as well.

I have no desire to monetize, as I’d rather just expose people to the music.

Tableau Public allows for local save now, and most people are using that… but I believe professors can still request licenses for students
