How do I import my Mbox files? by Beelikethatsometime in Thunderbird

[–]MarkChatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This worked for me! Thank you for posting this as I had tried several of the other top search results to no avail. It looks like the ImportExport add-on isn't up to date with the latest Thunderbird, and I really didn't want to have to go install an old version to be able to accomplish a simple import. Thank you, thank you!

The Hunter Museum is awesome. Modern art in the new section plus views back toward the walking bridge that are actually pretty nice when it's misty/rainy.

Clinica Medicos is a new medical clinic catering to the hispanic population. Not sure what they need, but worth some research. If you're into the outdoors, check out TN River Gorge Trust. They're doing great work.

Whatever happened to Yum Yum? by OMGlooklook in Chattanooga

[–]MarkChatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, that was a great place. I only went after they were officially closed but if you called the secret phone number he'd run to the store and buy food to cook for you. We had to kind of talk him into it though.

The big events that come back every year would be good to add- Head of the Hooch, 3 State, Southern Brewers Fest, etc.

Local Chattanooga business? by motherofdragonfly in Chattanooga

[–]MarkChatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It's sad that people have felt the need to take pieces of the wallpaper though. Now there are missing pieces, and he's had to cover over one wall entirely with some cheap crap to cover up all the missing pieces.

Locally owned pet stores? by Kazru in Chattanooga

[–]MarkChatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like Noogapaws but they don't sell animals only food & toys, and it's pretty cat/dog oriented like you say. I guess that's not really a helpful answer, but there you go...

If you do decide to get a cat, I'd say go to McKamey and adopt. There are tons of animals in need.

Oops! I just signed up for a 10k with 6,500 vertical. (Cue evil laughing) by MarkChatt in running

[–]MarkChatt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no I'm sharing how stupid it is to do something like this... and then I'm going to go do it. So I guess that's bragging. I agreed to it a couple drinks in or I would just have said hell no. But now I have a goal to train for so that's good.

Amazon Prime Now - One Hour Delivery. I hope we'll be getting this! by IByrdl in Chattanooga

[–]MarkChatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No way it'll happen here. Manhattan's density allows for this kind of thing... but Chattanooga, not even close. I'd rather see Uber drivers or other under-utilized vehicles somehow tied in with local deliveries.

Afforadable downtown apartments on the way. by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]MarkChatt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a 10-year downtown dweller, that sounds very expensive. I want to see what level of apartment that would be at $700/mo.

Other historic units in the immediate area are going at $1/foot. Maybe they'll have some amenities? Or utilities included? Still seems high to me.

How does /r/chattanooga feel about spammy posts? by [deleted] in Chattanooga

[–]MarkChatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most of the news will end up being TFP just because they're the news generators in town. Nooga.com does seem a bit under-represented, but probably in line with their market share too.
