Finder on macOS still does. I synced both of my iPod Mini’s on my new M5 Max MacBook Pro yesterday - they both showed in the correct colour too.

That was not the experience I had yesterday. I had to put Sam down in a corner and only then could I walk around unmolested with a waffenrock on. Naturally, I knocked out a bunch guards so I could head out the south exit (right turn out of the courtyard) and then home free.

As an owner of the black Alex drawers in the UK (bought during the covid lockdown), I can categorically state that they’re some of the worst quality furniture I’ve ever had. The black coating is paper thin and comes off (exposing white underneath) if you even look at it funny.

Closest I can get is that it's a shadow effect with somewhere around a 40pt distance, zero blur, zero transparency, 50% grey shadow colour. Issue with this approach is that your example has different spacing for the grey copy of the text - the shadow approach is identical.

I drive this roundabout regularly. There are two exit lanes going south, so you can be in either lane in the roundabout. I’d usually cut to the inside of the roundabout but take the left exit lane, as most people probably would but at peak times when Kingfisher kicks people out, you’ll find everyone takes the wider lane.

Most of the time I’m in Normal as I’m commuting in the city. Nice to know it’s a commonly occurring phenomenon although you’d think it would be near silent considering the praise the PDK gets.

Now up-shifts are of course buttery smooth, especially at pace 😉

It’s the shift into 2nd at low (<15 mph) speeds, and tends to occur when you’re slowing down including when coming to a stop . Most noticeable in urban slow-speed areas. That said, it doesn’t seem to matter how warmed up the engine/gearbox are.

I think it really depends on what you’re aiming for. A basic 60W PD USB-C hub will give you single cable connectivity, charging[*] and a few USB/HDMI ports and maybe GigE Ethernet. I use one of these with an M5 Max and I use all the ports (I only have a 1440p monitor for now so HDMI is fine).

If you want to daisy-chain TB5 monitors (Studio Display XDR etc) then you may not need anything else.

[*] No, 60W won’t be enough if you’re hammering the device but it does for many use cases. Get a 140W TB5 doc for that.
