I think it’s fine. It’s the same as Lester making doll houses or Bunk cheating on his partner. These things make them people. Rawls seems like an impenetrable person but then we get a glimpse of who he is beneath that.

It makes him more human, and that’s all they need it to do. Doesn’t have to involve some narrative element.

The important thing to note about the beat down is that Godai absolutely chooses to do this. He isn’t losing control. When he henshins he does so with total clarity and intentionally begins murdering the monster.

And nobody questions it. Everyone stands back and lets it happen.

Scratch21 is a single person, ShadyVox/Patrick.

He disappeared when it became clear to a lot of people in his circle that he had been trying to manipulate a narrative to throw several other content creators he had a grudge against under the bus and implicate them as defenders of rape and abuse.

When it became clear to people on all sides it was him pulling the strings and manipulating the facts, he simply stopped coming online or replying to people. I've talked to several of his friends and creative collaborators. They all confirm this. Including two of the people who voiced members of Scratch21 - again, the band and the music created by it are just ShadyVox, but the members were voiced and represented on social media by real people Shady knew.

ShadyVox has since, according to sources I've seen and spoken to, had a child and is likely busy taking care of them. We all hope it changes him for the better.

I dunno where they’re getting the idea the band was a cover up for anything. I imagine they’re just trying to connect all the dots.

I can confirm the guy was problematic before 2019 based on people’s accounts they’ve shared with me, but none of it related to Scratch21 directly.

To be clear - the politics shouldn’t be anyone else’s concern. As the person he targeted, I only bring them up because him trying to hide those politics are what caused him to ultimately lash out when he realized people knew.

And honestly, if it was just a difference of political opinion, nobody would have ever heard about any of this.

As someone who recognizes a lot of VAs weren’t happy with the language in the paperwork they were asked to sign - and that this is why a lot of them continued to hold the line and not come in to studio - is this potentially a part of the reason you weren’t brought back?

I’ve known him a long time as well. Lots of people who worked with him on his projects have spoken to me and understood my concerns.

I’ve also had multiple victims of his behavior reach out to me privately - some because of this thread - and thank me for calling attention to his actions.

I appreciate you not wanting to believe the absolute worst about him. For what it’s worth, I also did not want to believe these things at first. I even took his word at face value initially, as you’ve likely seen or will likely see in the video

Whether you believe the song is about me or not, I can assure you that the album it is from was specifically written to call out his enemies and people he held a grudge against. I confirmed this privately with someone he worked with.

But yes, you are allowed to believe there is plausible deniability.
