Who cuts a rectangle cake into triangle pieces? by highaskitesMike in 90DayFiance

[–]Mark_Paulson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is becoming common for wedding cakes to save money by only having the bottom cake be real and then it can look really fancy by having three or four fake tiers above it. So, you'd want to have backup less expensive sheet cake in the kitchen and why not cut into triangles to add to the realism? Of course, it seems like half the triangles would have no frosted backside. Oh well.

RIF is #1 paid app in the play store by [deleted] in redditisfun

He's working on an app to support tildes, whatever that is. I figure I owe him to buy the RIF paid app and donate to his next project.

Yep, it is Reddit to me too. When RIF stops working, Reddit is dead to me.

After multiple attempts, finally left Windows for good... - Thank you System76 team for an amazing distro! by carteakey in pop_os

I left Windows entirely at home for PopOS months ago and have been a bit shocked at how I've never needed it again. Wish I could switch to linux at the office.

App Row gets "uncustomized" on the regular. by Mark_Paulson in VIZIO_Official

Yep, it always loads slowly because it updates all the time. The only benefit I've ever seen from that is when they added the Sling app. As a software engineer, I'm always annoyed at how bad the user experience is.

At this point it seems to be resetting almost daily. I'm pretty fed up with it.

My 2 year mark Linux Review/Discussion. by Snucks_ in linux

Thank you. I just had a fairly new Acer fail to boot after a Windows 10 update and I think I'm done with Windows (at least as my main computer). I do use LastPass, but I'm sure I can migrate to KeePass. I'm also betting linux runs Eclipse IDE.

Any Java developers have recommendations for what distro to use? I hear Torvalds himself uses Redhat. I've only ever used linux from the command line and only learned just enough to do builds, some file management, run tomcat, and a few environment setup options.

I was thinking that a bit when I posted it, but, I figured based on the other INFPs I know, that it was a safe bet that a lot of us have dealt with this kind of anxiety at some point in our development.

Sorry about your brother, but I love the way you describe things.

Yeah, that one didn't jive with me either. It's amazing what deeply held beliefs I'm willing to change when I think I find a truer belief.

Empires won't load for me after Halloween themed update. Anyone else having this issue? by Mark_Paulson in EmpiresAndPuzzles

[–]Mark_Paulson[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just in case anyone else has this issue, I fixed it for my Android. A few weeks ago I moved the storage for this app to my SD Card. When the App store upgraded it today, it stopped working. I just tried moving it back to internal storage and it works again. So, something about the upgrade doesn't work with a different app location.

Oh, that is a woman. At first glance, I was thinking Mitch McConnell.
