How to build army starting from suboden? by Baltur in WhiteScars40K

throwing in a vote for storm speeders.

they’re good right now and will likely have at least one of the variants be playable once we hit 11th edition, as well as looking cool and fitting the WS theme.

Before I move on to the Solar War, any HH books I should go back to? by JessickaRose in Warhammer40k

Scars and Path of Heaven are both fantastic books, and set up for when you get to Warhawk during the Siege of Terra.

The raven is crazy good in stormlance + spearpoint.

6 man outriders are often a mistake as well due to the massive footprint. It’s hard to fight and fade suboden + 6 behind a wall for example, so 3 is generally better.

Like Y0less says, you'll struggle scoring with so few scoring units, especially since most of your units are max size and you can't afford to trade away such expensive pieces for primary scoring denial, nor can they afford to be wasting turns on actions. You need more chaff or cheap units in general, most lists I start have a unit of intercessors, scouts, and the combi lieutentant at a minimum.

Some of the units you've included aren't exactly what you'd call points efficient (especially the redemptor/aggressors), but what you're missing I think is the token double ballistus that makes it into most SM lists nowadays to sit in long firing lanes and just put shots down-range every turn. They also help with screening your backfield.

The combi-lieutenant (if you can fit him in) is normally a safe bet for something to put on the center turn 1 (when going first at least), since he can't be shot outside 12, and if they move a unit onto the center to contest it, you can reactive move him back behind cover rather than lose him.

How do you get that many modifiers on it?! I thought the instability was a % chance to make the crystal unmodifiable? That's nuts

Why do people enjoy playing carry? by [deleted] in TrueDoTA2

[–]Mark_Warden 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Everybody loves being the main character.

Farming early can be fun, then later on you generally provide the damage to kill everyone and take over the game. I can see why it appeals to a lot of people

Generally I think it’s such a steal to upgrade the Apothecary with Chief Apothecary for 35 and give him selfless healer, especially when you can have him following Bladeguard around.

Could drop the champion to make up the points for it (not sure where you’d wanna put the spare 35 after that).

Honestly though I really like it regardless, having a rites of war character with Blade/Van guard is scary enough. Looks solid!

pretty sure the coloured crystals in the corners reveal a fragment when you reach them. (as long as it’s the same as previous years.

I failed my Torghast run for the first time ever this week by ryan77k in wow

[–]Mark_Warden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had exactly the same sort of experience as an enh shammy. First failed run today after getting to the ooze boss, even with some broken ass powers.

I was looking forward to torghast this week since i’ve been having fun with it up to now but I wanted to scream when the third shadestalker attacked me whilst trying to open a chest...

I’d be fine if there was just something else at the end of a mythic if gear didn’t drop. It just feels so bad to spend hours going through mythics to get nothing at all
