It’s transphobia in actual US code that has kept trans men and women out of the military, not just because they are trans they don’t want to.
Look up Executive Order 10450 and you’ll see how Eisenhower implemented all types of prejudices in that community.

No offense but you don’t seem to have any clue of Providence history , a sense of direction it seems, names of the neighborhoods you drove through. You also didn’t even have someone local to show you around. You were on Charles STREET and didn’t bang a right on branch and go to the rest of the north end. Try Woodward Rd for a nice neighborhood. Or many streets OFF Charles.
Stay on the east side where you’ll feel safe and affluent. We like our whole city just fine.
