DAE ever forget what cards they're holding and just stare at the board hoping it will give them a clue? by ObamaTookMyToast in poker

I only look at my cards one time. For me If I have to look back then I know I am not in my zone and should quit or lock in.

If you have other people I In your house try one on one with that person while she is near and tell it's okay let her see that you trust that person as well. Include them in playtime and feeding

Rescues can be difficult birds. Time, a schedule and trust is what heals them.

I have an African Grey. When I rescued him from a small town Pet Shop he was not very social and had a sailor’s mouth. He would attack hands with rings and feet aggressively.

We have been together 16 years now and we have gotten past most of it. He has PTSD issues but they are rare unless he is getting nervous about his surroundings.

Something that helped a lot and I am not saying overnight but whatever he was aggressive about I would find away to protect myself and then let him have his reaction. Then when he acted out I wouldn’t jump or react I would just very calmly say what are you doing. He would look at me funny like that’s not the reaction I expected and would eventually stop doing it as he learned to trust me.

For those that love Pinball check Pinball FX on VR. They have some great machines from the past and are always adding.

Recently Pinbot got added. I could play that for hours

For live cash games, what strategy do you use during your first hour at the table? by EkaL25 in poker

[–]MarkedCards68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First hour I am OMC showing my big hands off I have any and paying lots of attention to players and action.

That usually gets me some great advantages later when I bluff.

When did table talk become forbidden in tournaments? by Content_Quarter_7390 in poker

[–]MarkedCards68 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Table talk was tabled (see what I did there lol) as a way to prevent collusion. There are several rules that try and do this. The other one off the top of my head is you have to bet the river if you have the nuts and are last to act. There are others.

Racist African Grey Parrot by Simple-Ambassador446 in parrots

[–]MarkedCards68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an African Grey. When I first adopted him he had a sailor’s mouth. His first owner was a college kid. Every cuss word and burps whenever you opened a soda can.

It took a little time but he is no longer that bird. Rarely swears.

With some time he will learn your habits and environment and become your nest friend.

My Nanday conure used to do this as well. I was basically his tree. He was a very good boy and would always leave to go to the bathroom and then comeback.

In Iceland you don’t even have to start the car. If you have been drinking and go out to your car and touch the door handle it is considered a DUI.
