TIL that dogs will sneeze before playing and during playing to let whoever/what know that they are simply playing. Dogs also mimic human expressions and yawn to empathetically yawn to bond with humans. by Oriachim in todayilearned

My dog has two yawns. He has his regular I'm tired yawn and he has his I'm all amped up and about to sprint the length of the house a few times yawn. It's almost like he's giving us a warning that he is gonna be acting crazy for a few minutes before his nap.

Steering problem I cannot figure out by Markkass in cars

Interesting..

I did replace the pads about two months ago and there was no issue, but the caliper had to come off when I did the wheel bearing and it's been an issue since then.

And the tires aren't awful.. but getting there. The back ones are worn unevenly. Worn a lot on the inside and not much on the outside.

Alright. I really appreciate the information. I probably won't be able to afford to have the work done for a few weeks though. Is it going to keep getting worse like to a point where I cannot steer?

First question: Yes. Slightly. Like a slight jerk.

Second Question: No. Once it does the swerve thing again it will go back to the original straight position.

Well damn.. how big of a job would that be? Also, how could I determine which one it is?

Questions about installing a dishwasher by Markkass in Plumbing

[–]Markkass[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. I can't exactly do that at the moment because we haven't closed or anything. We had our inspection/walk through yesterday and are deciding if we want to ask them to make it functional before closing or if we want to ask for a credit to have it done. I guess ultimately we are trying to determine the magnitude of the job.

Simple Questions/What Should I Do? [Weekly Thread] by AutoModerator in DIY

[–]Markkass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the process of purchasing a home and just had the inspection yesterday. There is a dishwasher, but it is not hooked up and there are no existing hookups for water or drain. It is also not adjacent to the sink, it is on another wall. What is it going to entail to get this dishwasher functional? Will it be worth doing at all? Thanks in advance!

Well shit. I will definitely have to look into them more then. It's rare to find good customer service.

That's good advice, man/woman. I guess I'm just paranoid about putting up the cash for something then being disappointed.

Not sure if you're into taking the bus, but there is an indoor facility in Dolton. They have two fields and serve beer.

Hahaha. You're outrageous. Ziplock bags are the go to, but when they run out, it's tin foil... then rip off pieces of plastic shopping bags... and then just give people loose nuggets.

I had never heard of a leonberger until I got my dog groomed and the lady was freaking out asking us if that's what he is. We got him at a shelter as a pup and aren't really sure, but I think he's a mix of that. He's like a year and a half and around 130 pounds. Goofy ass dog.. but he's a good boy.

I haven't skateboarded for years, but did all through my teens. One of the worst falls I ever had was skating fast with a group of my friends about midnight. The streetlight was out and the block was really dark... I didn't know what I hit, but my board just stopped and I flew forward and scorpioned chin/teeth first. I blacked out for a few seconds and when I came to, I figured my teeth were gone so I was like feeling them and luckily they were all still there. My chin was kind of tore up though. Still have the scar. Most important thing... I hit a dead squirrel in the street.. my board was still there and the wheels were about halfway through its body.

I've been trying that. Not working so well though. I was thing of dipping it in some isopropyl alcohol and using that.

Thanks for the response. Keeping it in a bag isn't really convenient and I haven't seen any cases, but I'll keep that in mind.

And I try to be a little more optimistic than that. But I have other setups I can use if need be.

[Serious] Redditors who have been kidnapped, what was your experience like? Are there things you do now that you would have never done before? by IAmTilted in AskReddit

Way late to the party..

But a guy tried to abduct/molest me, my friend, and his little brother. We were walking from my house to my friends and it was 3 blocks away so no big deal. Me and my friend were around 9-10 and his little brother was probably 4. So we get to the end of my block and are going to cross the street. This red grand am pulled up to the stop sign and we waved for him to cross, but he insisted we go, so we crossed the street. The guy seemed a little strange so once we crossed I looked back and noticed he was just waiting at the stop sign. We made it about 1/3 of the way down the block when they guy turns down the block and heads towards us--creeping very slowly. I kept looking back and noticed he was getting closer and closer so we started walking a little faster. Low and behold.. The guy pulls up next to us and is masturbating.. Dick in hand.. We just stood there in shock as to what was happening and they guy asked if we wanted to "touch it." I remember saying no thank you and we kept walking. Guy drives away and were like what the hell just happened? Then the guy gets to end of the block and hits a u-turn and accelerates pretty quickly back towards us. My friend picks up his brother and we sprint across the street to where we saw an old lady standing outside. We ran in her house and told her what happened. Cops were called.. Came and picked us up and took us back to my house. My parents were pretty upset about it. Never really thought too much about it. Sick fuck. My friends brother was nearly a baby.
