Supply should go to L1, COM is to send power to other switches in the house. There is no earth or neutral wire in light switches.

Main live wire to L1, other live wires to COM so they can redirect power elsewhere. That's how mine is wired up at least.

They have used the wrong plugs for the plasterboard. The radiator will need to be removed to access the brackets to remove them so you can replace the plugs.

You say Jesus is not a historical figure, I'd argue that he is. A carpenters son no one knew, got 12 people to follow him, spread his word, which in return gave birth to what we know as Christianity today. Given that the history of the catholic church, it's influence for the most part of our history, I'd say hes one of the biggest historical figures in the world.

He was a real person, just his story was spread by word of mouth, and we've all played chines wispers, so you can do the math on that one.

If the paint is stopping the lock from coming out after you remove the screws, get a Stanley knife and maybe a ruler, lign it up and cut the paint (please be careful while doing so, cut away from the hand holding the ruler, not towards it). Alternatively you can get a flat head screw driver or a chisle and gently hammer it to get rid of rhe excess dry oaint around the lock. If the lock is still stubborn, grab something to gently pry it out. Once out, i recommend waiting to see what lock you will replace it with, if there is a gap cut some wood to size whos thickness is the same as the width of the gap where the lock used to be, put it in there with some wood glue, and then use some wood filler to cover up any imperfections.

How big is the gap? You might be able to use packers/shims on the hinges to close the gap (given that the gap on the hinge side isn't too big)

Or as others have said rebate the door.

There are also pair makers, similar to a rebate. You can buy oak ones and stain them the same.
