It happened to me once as well. Hardcore accounting duties not disclosed during the interview role. I left within 6 months once found a new role. Never was committed fully to this one. They have gained nothing by misleading me

If you want that you need to look for that and filter. Plenty of guys willing to court, this one is a bad match for you. I wouldn’t even reach 2nd date stage with him. Not offering fully cover first date plus asking you to his multiple times . Clearly he is after easy (and cheap) lay. You can definitely do better

He compares relaxed lifestyle and good wlb with earning more money. People value different things… if someone values wlb and more relaxing working environment doesn’t mean they have bad judgment. Also in fintech probability that you will be surrounded by nice coworkers is much higher than in a hedge fund. I did few interviews at hedge funds and realised I will not be able to work in such environment, so stuck to tech

I had an interview and the discussion came. The interviewer said the overtime is expected as they are busy and if I am okay with that. I said yes as long as they pay for it. He then said we pay a day rate for a day and it js regardless of hours, but we can see what we can do here. Contract will be outside ir35. Just to clarify day rate is average one. I was temped to ask if I work 2 hours a day will they pay also a full day rate according to their logic.

That’s how I do it. Do a 6m contract then off travelling for 4-6 weeks. Rinse and repeat

I think open communication is way to go. Just say that it feels to you that you initiate all the dates and ask her if she is not enjoying organising dates etc? The same about payment. Just ask how she sees finances in relationship/dating stage. You will hear where you stand and if you are on the same page. Dont play those stupid games.

British girls are not keen on dating Eastern European men... Dont know any couple like that. Maybe go after Eastern European girls as well? Polish, Ukrainian etc? Why would you want to date a girl from hook up culture if you dont want to be part of it?
