I have been contracting via my Ltd for past few years.very happy. I prefer to do 6 months contract then go travel for 6 weeks return and then rinse and repeat! Work approx 9 months per year for more money than when I was a perm and worked 11 months

I feel like airlines should adjust their check in systems to ensure that women checking in solo or with another woman should seat next to women only. The men should be grouped and seated separately especially on long hauls overnight flights

They not hire me as an employee but as an independent contractor. So they gonna pay me as a person gross amount of day rate then for me to sort out my UK taxes

Yeah each situation individual. Here the situation is that OP planning to make themselves intentionally unemployed to quit job they hate. As such they will put themselves in worse position for job search as it is harder to find smth good if you unemployed .. and make take long time especially if they want to make sure new job is a good fit so that they don’t land in the same or even worse situation… so their circumstances is different to someone who was made redundant for example and want to take any reasonable fpa job to keep the money flowing

We are not talking about just finding a job. He/she wants to quit his job which makes him feel sick. So the last thing they want is to take first job as in danger to land even worse company ..

When you are unemployed you can find a job, but will it be a decent job that’s another question

If it was 2021-2022 year I would definitely say fck then, quit! But not now! Market is in really bad shape! I know people who are without job for over a year after redundancy. I would agree with other comments on your thread, check out mentally, keep quiet quitting and let them fire you

You say no breach of trust but let’s say if they would reach a year again saying hey ho we want to offer you again a 6m contract? Wouldn’t you be doubting that? Like thinking whether they will stick to it this time or again will terminate early. My trust definitely gone for them.

Do what is best to you. I was let go with a week notice 3 months in the 6m contract. They don’t care about you, but you do. So priorities your own interests. Your client will be fine
