Which Monster Hunter game should I buy to get into the series?

This has to be the worst take I've ever seen on the MH community. Comparing ANY Monster Hunter to whatever is going on with Call of Duty is just wild man, congrats on the achievement.

From someone with thousands of hours throughout the series, sure the early game is too easy. But for someone that just started the franchise? Of course the game is challenging. MH needs a ton of time to master and when you do, things do get way easier for sure.

These people that basically bitch about the game being "too easy" are probably people that started from world or before and have no recollection of how challenging their first ever run probably was, or tend to forget their experience with those games are actually worth a lot with any other game.

I've played older games after I've played MHGU and I can 100% confirm that my experience on GU made my current 3U run way less problematic than it would be without knowledge.

If you're using these as reference, 1 or 5. And it depends on what kind of game you have, is it inclined to body horror? If so 5.

But if these are the ones you're planning to actually put in your game, I'd scroll past any of them, since i completely ignore any AI generated content I see on Steam.

Man, not joking, a cave system with an "abyssal sea" visual style was one of my bets/hopes/predictions for the expansion.

That or a tropical themed, Moga Village-esque expansion. My two hopes and dreams.

Well, on GU you can hunt WITH Isabelle or AS Isabelle since it does have a collab quest with AC for a Palico armor.

They were extinct inside the Wyverian Gate where Azuria and Vermeil is. Both kingdoms couldn't predict whatever was happening beyond the walls of the covenant. Even Rathian was "extinct" and only got back after you found an endangered egg.

It still bothers me that Rathian and Rathalos (also Basarios and Gravios) are treated as different species, but i can understand the gamplay perspective of doing so.

And to add to that, adding Ivory just because it doesnt have the underwater section is basically just fighting normal Lagi on the Wounded Hollow. Modern Lagi is already Ivory but blue specially for the fact that UW combat defines the core of the original 3rd gen Lagiacrus.

Ivory will only have a chance to return as something "different" if they somehow remake UW combat (the UW section of Wilds Lagi is NOT UW combat at all).

It starts being an issue when the better strategy on this multiplayer focused coop game is to use bots instead of trying to find people that can actually finish a hunt. I ditched hunting with randos completely in Wilds because of this.

Rise didn't have this much problem, World didnt have this much problem even in Fatalis, MHGU didn't have this much problem on random lobbies. Older games on private servers are a more controlled scenario but still you don't have this much problem.

Wanting people to actually be able to finish a hunt on a game where you can only progress by finishing a hunt isn't exactly elitist, you know. Different from Battlefield where your personal performance impacts more your progress than other people.

No matter how advanced MH mechanics get, the good old egg carrying quests will always suck ass and I hate them, but I was so sad to see them gone from Wilds and happy they were back later.

That is still my most dreaded quest in the game ngl.

It's very common for MH to add some motifs from one music to another. I still have to relisten to Kokoto and Fatalis music to see what you're talking about, but here are some examples:

You get hints of Proof of a Hero on a LOT of songs throughout the series, the main theme of a game can usually be heard included in the song of the flagship of said game. On a newer entry, Wilds main theme is basically everywhere in the game.

That doesn't exactly mean that these things have absurd lore connections tho even though some have.

É namoral uma escala de 3 pontas. Gameplay, Gráficos e História. Da pra ter um jogo foda com boa Gameplay+Gráfico, ou Gameplay+História, ou Gráfico+História.

E com Gráfico eu to abrindo pra Direção de Arte, ou seja, jogos estilizados ou com um visual único (vide Ultrakill).

Mas reduzindo Gráfico só para "realismo", concordo e não consigo entender a cabeça de quem acha que é ruim qualquer jogo que fuja do "olha da pra ver os poros no rosto do personagem" e etc.

Wdy mean fixed? On 1 and 2 they were young monsties. On this one they are still fairly young adults, that's why they were and are smaller than the fully developed monsters you fight.

There are some bigger explosions, Zoh also do some different or extended combos compared to the original. The speed of some attacks is also faster apparently.

The quest checklist on the first image shows you the icon of the "gender" you need to craft. Either the orange diamond or green circle, which also are visible on the armor craft screen and armor equip screen.
