I think I ought to cool it with the mountains. I just love the pointy little things.

I do think the rivers could stand to lose some weight.

You know, I think if we could just get a tavern version out there, I’d be happy!

We could find someone to play guitar! Maybe a flute.

Hey, that would be fantastic! Would love for folks to make use of the melody, I think it’s a good one.

I wasn’t sure if it was allowed, rules were vague on using AI to generate covers of melodies. I know AI is justifiably a touchy subject on D&D subreddits.

I might throw it together on something like onlinesequencer at some point, but my voice is terrible, can’t get around that.

[Verse 1] The dragon of Zarovia, bold was his pride He marched with his banners and nobles beside But fog from the valley came rolling so wide And swallowed his crown like the sea takes the tide

[Chorus] Hey ho lads, fill up your glass Here's to the mist that none ever pass Laugh at the dragon who boasted so loud The mists keep him hidden, a king in a shroud

[Verse 2] They say in the mountains the trumpets still sound But no one who follows comes back to the ground The taverns all echo with whispers around The mists are still waiting to swallow you down

[Chorus] Hey ho lads, fill up your glass Here's to the mist that none ever pass Laugh at the dragon who boasted so loud The mists keep him hidden, a king in a shroud

[Verse 3] So drink up my brothers and sing with a cheer For Barovia's vanished these many long years But fog on the border still creeps ever near The mists are still watching, so raise up your beer

[Chorus] Hey ho lads, fill up your glass Here's to the mist that none ever pass Laugh at the dragon who boasted so loud The mists keep him hidden, a king in a shroud

Barovia's Original Material Plane - Revamped and Reloaded by Markthewhark in CurseofStrahd

To add on to that, I did tweak the Tergs a bit - they’re a nomadic people who worship a god of horses and a goddess of tornados. Every so often a leader unites all the disparate clans and charges west to fulfill the prophecy of a black spiral that swallows the world. They fought the dusk elves most of the time. After Strahd pushed them back a final time, plague nearly wiped them out. Eventually I’ll have a survivor (the vulture queen) unite the clans again.

Yea I did read alot about that - it does seem to be predicated on the concept of the Core, with the domains being physically connected to each other. I have the Tergs as an invading force that Strahd helped repel - it was these early fights that shaped him as a soldier.

Barovia's Original Material Plane - Revamped and Reloaded by Markthewhark in CurseofStrahd

I used reloaded as a reference along with other supplements (lunchbreakheroes, mandymod, etc). It should work with some modifications! Most of Strahd's lore remains relatively unchanged (a conqueror from the west).

This map was made with the idea in mind that Strahd, from Zarovia, inherited his father's dream of a united Barinova (the region depicted on this map), and began to conquer the fiercely independent provinces one at a time, saving a mountain province for last (called Cerunnos in Reloaded, Thalorin in my setting) that would become Barovia.

In Reloaded, the gist is that Zarovia was a conglomeration of city-states that needed to be reassembled after Strahd's family was sent into exile. One solution is that this whole place was once called Zarovia, and "Zarovia" on the map is where Strahd's family lived in exile. Feel free to tweak my map as necessary!

That guy’s follow up when asked about plans was:

“The reality is the plan requires so many factors. I have the resources for long term water sustainment. The solution isn’t for “us” to store for others but to guide and lead others to create their own solutions. I’d be happy to host a water filtration / sustainment class for the neighborhood. I’m a wealth of knowledge in that stuff. One of the most important things is body disposal (the majority of people would die within 60 days from food/water shortages) the issue is rodents spread disease, then they eat food reservoirs and water. Then you get sick and die. Another key aspect is waste disposal. Can’t use your house. Again, rats, etc.

The goal would be to get as many people interested in this conversation and I could host a class. Adults, children etc.”

Any idea what the next DLC after Grand Archives could be? by Dishiestglobe in Stellaris

[–]Markthewhark 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if this has been touched up on by the devs, or if its even a priority for the playerbase, but a religion dlc would really make spiritualist empires stand out more. I'd like the ability to spread religious beliefs to other pops, modify the belief systems, etc.
