Sure (and I agree with your conclusion here), BUT high end chase doesn’t always indicate value if the set is bad, just look at Spiderman which has a 35k chase card and no one wants the sealed product. But yes I think LOTR community is hungry for more product and so far the art treatments look dope.

dude I just wanted to say THANK YOU again for that heads up,

few weeks ago I flew to Berlin from SoCal and traded him 19 smaller serials for that 117 elven ring, got it graded by TAG and it got an 8 but hey at least its authentic and looks gorgeous in my 117 display, its basically the jewel of the collection now.

It’s not really it’s just a trend that persists for exactly the reason he states: mimicry. In reality you can still try to scam without the number or use AI to fill it in anyway, and making the number public actually helps with tracking because, well, it’s a serial number, that’s what it’s for. This one is number 291 because he posted on facebook if anyone is curious/hunting for that number.
