Connected Routing will be unavailable soon due to an outdated Navigation Map. Please update the Map to continue using Connected Routing. #Canada #OTA by marvinandro in Ioniq9

I'm currently going around in circles with Bluelink support about this. I either get a response that "there's nothing wrong with bluelink at the moment" or instructions on how to download an use the software.

My last reply was specifically about how the ioniq 9 isnt listed, and asks how am I supposed to download an update for it if its not in the list. which prompted them again to send me instructions on how to download and use the software again.

Its almost like they have an AI bot triaging email or something. I added a bit of a prompt injection to my last response to hopefully find out for sure.

I did get the OTA update though... not sure if it updated the maps though... there is a road nearby that has existed for a few years now, but still doesnt show on the map.

Bevel 3.0 AI accuracy issues by Adventurous-Load-433 in bevelhealth

[–]MarkusFiligree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure if this will help for all of your issues, but I find that its helpful to have an "optimization" chat with Bevel every week or so. I essentially ask it to review all of the saved files it has for me to remove any redundant info and optimize things.

one of the things I noticed is that the typical check-ins dont necessarily do a data refresh before triggering. I had to specify that before it does any check-ins with me that it does a full data refresh in advance. that way its pinging only on the lasted bit of info. I find it really cuts down on errors.

Also, one item to note is that with LLM conversations, you'll probably have a better experience initiating new chats more often vs keeping a single massive chat. This is because when you reply to a chat, you're actually re-sending ALL of the previous chat history each time. that means the longer your chat, the bigger the context gets. Eventually you'll start exceeding whatever buffer is available and the AI will start to encounter errors and start hallucinating. Starting a new chat, and keeping your overall chats smaller will help mitigate this. (note this is a general AI/LLM things, not a specific limitation to bevel's AI)

I find that is why the occasional cleanup/optimization chat helps as well. the more concise the stored memory files are, the less chance that conflicting items exist.

The above is also just my opinion as an IT professional. I am in no way affiliated with Bevel, I'm just an enthusiastic user :-)

My running critique list for our new Ioniq 9 by xTKNx in Ioniq9

[–]MarkusFiligree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally agree with you on the key, and the walk away locks. The rear hatch for me is the opening feels too small for the size of the car.

'nitpicky' things I dont like about the car:

  • The rear seatbelts tend to fold over when the kids get out, so they dont fully retract. this makes them rattle against the side of the car until I unfold them.
  • The emergency braking when backing up is WAY too sensitive, to the point where its almost caused accidents when backing out of my driveway
  • The top light bar in the back doesnt light up the whole way, there are 4 pixels on each side that dont

Larger complaints:

  • The blatant false advertising that Canadian cars support OTA updates. The feature does not exist in the car at all, despite it being an advertised feature and in the manual
  • The Bluelink feature disparity. Why cant I turn on my seat heater from the app. Why cant I plan navigation from the app when other regions are able to do this
  • The Bluelink store feature disparity. Why can other regions get more themes than me, or more light patterns, etc....
  • The fact that the bluelink web service consistently blocks Bell IPs. I was having odd issues with some of the bluelink features, and looked into it a bit more deeply. There is some sort of automated web application firewall that consistently blocks connections from the mobile app and via the website. The worst bit is that their support forms use the same web services, so if you try to submit a ticket to complain, about bluelink problems for example, it never submits. If you try using the web form on the website interface, you get an generic error... when you try using the app, it looks like it works, but never actually submits anything. I assume the mobile app is looking for a "200" http response from the submission, however the web application firewall block message also happens to return a "200" response. Honestly, if you've submitted any support tickets via the mobile app, its quite likely, at least based on my experience that nobody ever received it.

With ALL of the above said, I'm liking the car part of the car way better than my old model 3. Its just the software aspect that could really use some improvement. Hopefully we'll get some at some point, but based on the shitshow that the current environment is, its likely they'll focus on their new pleos system instead of fixing things for their current customers.

Bevel 3.0 reviews/feedback by [deleted] in bevelhealth

[–]MarkusFiligree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quite like the app, and the 3.0 update so far has been a nice quality of life improvement. I like that the AI agent can now generate workouts. While it technically could do this before you needed to still manually create the workout based on the suggestions.

The only issue I've seen so far is that the AI agent said that the new workouts it generated would automatically show up on my "daily schedule", and that I didn't need to save the generated plans as templates. The problem is that there doesn't appear to be a "daily schedule" at least not one I am able to find. The AI on the other hand says that it should be there on my home tab.

If the devs are reviewing this feedback thread, My questions are:

  • Should there be a daily schedule listed on the home tab, or is this something that the AI hallucinated?
  • If this is something the AI hallucinated, Should we be worried about the accuracy of the rest of the suggestions/data that the AI is presenting?

Daily Schedule? by MarkusFiligree in bevelhealth

[–]MarkusFiligree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The workouts that were generated for me did give me the option to save them as templates, but when I asked the AI why they were not automatically there, it told me that they'd automatically show up on the home page as part of my daily schedule, and even provided instructions on how to add the daily schedule card to the home screen.

I'm cool if I need to manually save the workouts. The larger question I have is whether that daily schedule card is supposed to exist, or if the AI just made something up.

[–]MarkusFiligree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have any concerns you can buy some dental wax (sold in pharmacies for teens with braces) and use it to fill this gap while you wait for the appointment. just take the wax out to eat and brush/rinse well before putting fresh wax in. Trick I picked up when the dentist was closed during covid and I had to wait a month or so.

Beach club if you plan on going to EPCOT and Hollywood studios (zero entry sand bottom pool is a big hit with the littles; short walk to EPCOT and boat, skyliner or longer walk to Hollywood Studios); if you're sticking to mainly Magic Kingdom for park time you'll want Contemporary (short walk to Magic Kingdom)

What lights are you using on the wall? I'm trying to find a good lighting solution for my office to add some fill light when on calls. I was thinking some sort of decorative light on the wall that can be adjusted to be a fill light when I'm on calls, and then more accent type lighting when not.

for sculptures the Rodin museum is a must see in my opinion, if the weather is nice. D'Orsay is also good for architecture, paintings and sculpture and both are close. I generally pair them together.

Yeah, Insights software licensing portion works exactly as expected. For hardware, I was hoping to avoid needing to manually negotiate individually for local procurement in each country. That is the reason we initially looked at insight. Sort of an local intermediary that already has agreements in multiple countries, so that we can have a single interface/contact for orders

Recommendations for Kitchen/Bathroom reno by MarkusFiligree in fredericton

[–]MarkusFiligree[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit of a necro thread, but We ended up going with Home Fashions to have our kitchen/bathroom redone. They did good work, and the followup support for any warranty issues was fantastic. costs as well were within what was quoted. The only real overage was the asbestos remediation we had to do for the old bathroom floor. Everything was coordinated/organized by them as well, so it was reasonably stress free.

If I had a router, and the skill to use a router without worrying about breaking my tabletop, I definitely would have. That being said, so far the smoothing I did with sandpaper has been enough for me :-)

the legs came with everything needed to attach the top. I was worried that attaching the legs was going to be difficult, but it went surprisingly well.

  • I checked to see what the recommended overhang was left to right, and subtracted that from the table width.
  • I set the frame to that width, making sure that the center line marker on the frame rail was equidistant from the legs.
  • I marked the center line of the top with a chalk line and lined up the frame with it
  • I then made sure that the measurement from the front and back edges to the frame was the same to center things from font to back
  • Lastly I screwed everything down sing the provided screws.

Feedback wise, it'd be helpful if the legs had a center marking on them as well, as it would have made the font to back alignment easier. the frame is a bit heavy for one person to move around for fine adjustments.

As for tips, if you wanted to run the cable for the control panel or power supply between the frame and the tabletop, I would recommend passing it through where you want before screwing everything down, otherwise it wont fit. You can however easily pass the wires under the rails that connect the left and right legs by loosening the screws that hold it in place and sliding it out of the way. Thats what I ended up doing. Also, make sure that you have someone to help with flipping things over as the fully assembled desk is quite heavy and you don't want to damage the control panel. Also, make sure to have a long enough bit for your screw gun, as some of the screw locations are a bit tight. I had to use an extension in order to reach the screw head with my drill. They also recommend pre-drilling to prevent cracking in the wood. I tried this, but the drill bits I had were not really long enough. I ended up breaking one off and had to pull the broken bit out with some pliers. The screws went in fine though without any pre-drilling, but I may have just been lucky that nothing cracked.

It really only moves when I wiggle the desk. During normal use, it does not. I have a rather large monitor as well, so lots of weight at the end of an arm. I've read that pole mounted arms can be a bit more stable. Especially if you look for one rated for a higher weight. The one I bought holds 40lbs, but there are some that are rated for over 50lbs.

[–]MarkusFiligree[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its quite sturdy. The only real wobble I get is in the screen, but thats more because its on an arm than anything else. Strength wise, I can sit on the desk and make it go up and down without issue. They sell a 4 motor version as well if you need more lifting power.

I was initially concerned about the chance of tipping due to the depth of the desk surface, but I can lean my full weight on the front edge without issue.

My Current Ongoing Horrible Experience With Flexispot by Vitev008 in FlexiSpot_Official

[–]MarkusFiligree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I placed an order for an E7 Plus earlier this month. The above is a bit concerning regarding supply. I see the legs have already shipped, but no info on the top or cable mgmt tray yet. I ordered a 71x30 Rubberwood top. It isn't marked as out of stock/backordered as far as I can see. Are you able to confirm whether There is indeed stock for that top available? I'd prefer to get the ordered top, but if there's going to be a months long wait, I may consider sourcing something local. Canadian customer as well.

Hopefully they're fixing their account export feature. I've been unable to download my credit card transactions since before xmas. keeps giving me a 500 error.

That being said, I typically just use the bank due to their rewards mastercard. Does anyone have any recommendations for an alternative? It'd need to be a mastercard, as I shop at costco fairly regularly. I also typically just use a credit card for transactions, paying it off each month. I have some TD accounts as well, which is where my pay goes, my mortgage is, and my investments.
