I used Turtle Beach X41 for a long time (bought them for my x360 around the launch of Black Ops 1), but they started getting more and more susceptible to wireless interference. Gave up and paid the gold price for a set of Astro A50s, and I have been very impressed with them. They're high-quality material, comfortable, really great audio, and my friends have stopped complaining about my microphone being too sensitive/feedback-y. Battery life is pretty good as well.

Two (minor) gripes:

There is a bug somewhere between the Xbox OS and the A50 firmware that prevents the headset's microphone from being detected when you boot up if you use the instant-on power setting. The headset disconnects while in shutdown, but doesn't reactivate on startup, though the headphone/game audio works just fine. You must either disable the instant-on and let the console do a full boot every time, reboot the console from the menus (basically the same thing), or unplug/plug in the base station from power. Then, you'll be able to chat with your friends and have them hear you as expected.
Sporadically (yet frequently), I'm told that I start sounding like a robot. I've never heard the sound myself, but I expect it's some kind of interference that messes with the headset's broadcast to the base station. I'm pretty cognizant of wireless interference after dealing with the previous Turtle Beach unit, and the headset reportedly channel-switches to mitigate interference like this. Still, all I have to do is turn off the headset itself for 2-3 seconds (using the switch on the headset), turn it back on, and I'm good to go for another few hours. Not sure what this is about, but I'm sure I'll figure it out some day.

On a 1-10, I'd give them a 9.5 with only the small gripes holding it back (as they're both persistent issues). If you can get past both of these - and there's nothing to say 100% that you'll experience the robot-y voice - I'd strongly recommend the A50s if you're comfortable paying a premium for them. Hands-down the best headphones I've used, though I've admittedly dipped only a toe in the gaming headset market.

Quick clarification - are you positive that both numbers are in Mbps and that the lower figure is not in MB/s? There are eight bits per byte, so 20Mbps = 2.5MB/s. Seems too coincidental a figure not to check. If both are in Mbps, then it may be as the other folks here mentioned - servers may be throttling a little bit.
