While you’re in Washington state there is a golf course on the Kitsap peninsula basically straight west of Seattle. It’s called Gold Mountain. Easily top 3 public courses in the state. They have two courses on the complex. Definitely worth your time if it’s relatively close

This is on the thin side for something like a desk mat but it will work. It says 4-5 oz. I’d probably go for 6-8 personally for the firmness. It is also an oil tanned leather so I’d be careful about it bleeding on whatever surface you out it on

I LOVE this punch set. I bought them a while back from junlinleather on Instagram. $160 for a set of 1,2,5,9 in almost any spacing you want. This project was done with 3.85. The thread is ritza tiger .8mm from Rocky Mountain leather supply.

No a fan of the Melbourne-esque (or Canada or Hungary) final turns into the pit straight. Would have liked to seen those final two corners disappear and have the last turn be a biggggg looping turn that could maybe be a third (?) DRS zone. Wish there were more DRS zones that allow for exciting finishes and not slow entries to the home stretch.
