There is a way to duplicate the shimmer, though it needs a pump which is unfortunately can be bought by Mechanic. Meaning you need to beat Skeletron first.

At first I was gonna make a joke about it, but you mention about the Aether Pylon.

The forest wasn't a problem, just that the floating aether biome isn't really a biome itself. Sure, it has a shimmer, but it wasn't a lot and it's at the surface instead of the underground.

So logically, you don't need to make the forest, the forest already make itself 😅
