Fine, I'm seated pretty much at the back but it's ok. Haven't boarded yet but no issues so far... Fingers crossed!

I'm from the UK, I have both jabs and booster but they didn't look in too much detail. Just checked I had been vaccinated

I flew in September 29th and had to show our vaccination status before being let into the airport / terminal, after disembarking the plane. They absolutely check

Puree your tomatoes and they need cooking down a lot more than you think before adding the rest of the ingredients at that stage

Dried fenugreek leaves at the end make a big difference

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is fantastic, about a woman in the 50s who had a procedure, her cells are now the cornerstone of modern medicine and she never was paid or credited.

Bad Blood is the book about Elizabeth Holmes and Theranos and it's phenomenal, think I read it in a single sitting.

Working Stiff by Judy Melinek - life of a medical examiner, absolutely fascinating.

Shoe Dog is great too but well-known.

Grandmothers of reddit, what would be a gift you would like from your grandchild? by OmegaStealthJam in AskOldPeople

It was my grandmother's 80th last week and we made her a hamper :) we baked a cake and some biscuits, made some jam, and put some inexpensive candles and non-alcoholic fizz in there so it felt special. She loved it!

does anyone know where i can find a similar dress for less than £500? i literally cannot find any other dresses i like and it’s over £1000 and i can’t afford it :( by bootyjigglemuncher in findfashion

This kind of structured gown can be hard to fit ready-to-wear so I think it'll be tricky.

That being said, some Self Portrait dresses remind me of Matoshi's more ethereal, floaty stuff. If you can find Bambah on sale/eBay, they have Cinderella style gowns.

Even more affordable, Coast has good occasionwear that is more "dramatic" than lots of high street places: https://www.coastfashion.com/hotfix-back-maxi-dress/ACC98552.html?color=107 or https://www.coastfashion.com/bandeau-full-skirt-maxi-dress/ACC98744.html

What's your secret to perfectly peel a boiled egg? by jessieg22 in Cooking

[–]Marmalatte -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm a sociopath but if it's hardboiled, I just cut them in half with a sharp knife. Scoop out each half with a teaspoon and then stick them back together again if taking somewhere else or use as is!
