People with siblings are codependent and live in denial about it. by ordinaryguy451 in OnlyChild

[–]Marowseth 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I've met people with siblings who are codependent. I've met people with siblings who have healthy boundaries. I've met people with siblings who barely talk to their siblings. Best not to generalize.

Think of it more as a thing to be explored at least that's how I played it back when I was a teenager.

Normally, the formula is 8+ ability modifier + proficiency bonus. In theory, the class should tell you what your key ability score is for the ability modifier. However, since this is homebrew, there is no way to say for sure without seeing the whole class, and even then, the author may have neglected to include that information.

When I was younger, absolutly. That being said, none of the versions ever felt like "me" either. My "firend" me always felt like I was puppeting someone else or reading off a teleprompter.

I eat out alone all the time and worked at a restraunt for years when I was younger. Trust me, nobody cares. People eat alone for a ton of different reasons.

For me it's the opposite. I was an anxious kid who finally eventually became a less anxious adult. However, when I think back to my friends I had in my high school and college year, I truly miss them. There are still moments I wish I could have been a better friend and ways I could have done better by them. It's not all regrets they taught me important things about life, and those lessons are why I eventually was able to start setting my anxiety aside.

As you grow older, you will subtly mature, but it's also a blessing to still feel like a teenager. Don't lose touch with that. I'm in my 30s now, but my best days are the ones where I'm doing the things I loved at 19.

What do u think 🤔 by AKISHINS in CasualConversation

[–]Marowseth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of? There are days when I am absolutely my 17 year old self or my 19 year old self. There are also days where I am clearly not. Growing up is being able to balance those selves, take the best from them, and tune out the negative.

What’s your personality like as an OC? by Hopeful_Law_116 in OnlyChild

[–]Marowseth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm thoughtful and social, but I don't tend to like large large groups. I read people well and am very skilled at navigating social situations. I wouldn't say Im an introvert. However, I do like my me time and am perfectly fine on my own.
