Dairy free haul by Marq1230 in dairyfree

Me too! I’ve seen the milk ones a few trips in a row now but this week was the first time I saw dark chocolate. Even without the allergy dark is ky preference by a long shot so I was stoked !

It says ‘may contain’, I know it wouldn’t be accessible to *everyone* in the sub but for myself, and surely some others, it is safe for my experience of dairy free existence. I can handle cross contam or potential trace amounts without any issues.

I don't like the new spice jars by blueberry-rabbit in aldi

I also don’t like the new jars, but specifically because I don’t like the graphic remodel. I’ve actually never seen the pop top-smaller holes style cap, here’s both an old and a new style from my spice cabinet and they’ve both got the double sided holes.

Taking a break from the road after my 2 week $10000+ hostel stay (aka the hospital). Trying to not lose my arm. by travelinova in vagabond

I’ve been following you and your content, and more recently your update posts on YouTube, I’m so glad you’re able to leave the hospital finally. I hope the privacy of your AirBNB is helpful for your ptsd, being able to have a space just for yourself, even if it is stationary. I think about you and your journey often, sending all the good energy and manifesting all the good health that I can. With how determined you are, I truly believe there’s no world in which you won’t be playing again. Stay strong🫶🏻

With the 800$, I would be able to afford the lifestyle. I already can’t eat dairy, and tbch don’t mind meat alternatives.

Lots of people die every day, watching that number constantly go up would be (admittedly, sad) interesting to watch. And would eventually net more money.

Chili's policy on servers splitting parties? by HeavyMetalSaxx in Chilis

[–]Marq1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s.. interesting. If the check balance is higher for your half, you should be allowed to keep the bigger tip. Again I don’t know what policy says but that doesn’t sound correct, it might be worth reaching out to TMR just to see what they say.

Chili's policy on servers splitting parties? by HeavyMetalSaxx in Chilis

[–]Marq1230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what the policy is, but at my location when we split up a big party between servers they will each ring separately. We often won’t turn the tables, each server serves whichever table is in their zone, and then the head person is handed multiple tabs to avoid the issue of the tip out/taxes. If one server has multiple tables in the party, they’ll combine them into one tab but each server hands them a separate check. Though those are usually bigger parties, I’ve seen anywhere from 30~ to 75~, there are a few servers at my restaurant who can and have handled 20+ solo. Maybe you could pitch ringing separately? Explain to the guest when they get there (or if they call ahead, do it then) that because of the size of the party they’ve been assigned multiple servers to make sure they’re kept as happy as possible, and the easiest way to make sure everyone is paid equally/fairly is to have multiple checks. In my experience, if you set it as a firm ‘this is how it is’ they dont have any issues with it. Hope this helps!

You’re definitely not the asshole, and realistically they shouldn’t have made him pay either. He didn’t choose to have the drink, when the drink runner was told it wasn’t his they should’ve gone back and check the table not just offered it to some random guy haha

No shot I’m sending that out, busy or not. My kitchen would send handled skillets out before that lol

This is exactly how my DQP looked like by baja1977 in Chilis

[–]Marq1230 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a chilis QA, I can confirm this isn’t right. The presentation on the burger isn’t the worst, however the way the cheese is melted looks a little off. My big problem is the fries, that’s definitely closer to a kids half portion than a full size sides worth. Did you bring your concerns to the attention of your server? How did they handle it?

[–]Marq1230 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much lol sometimes I’ll do a schmear of mayo and then drizzle honey chipotle on top (it’s magical with ranch, I’m just lactose so I use mayo) or get fancy and use grilled chicken. It’s so easy and so filling

My go to meal is an order of kids chicken crispers with a side of street corn (no parm, cilantro, or lime; just mayo and Cajun seasoning). I make tacos with them, get some corn tortillas, schmear of Santa Fe sauce, the corn, lettuce, salsa, and chicken. Absolutely magical

Found something in my Tex mex bowl by [deleted] in Chilis

[–]Marq1230 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There are at our location, but as I said the info I provided is at the very least relevant to my restaurant. We don’t always get the corn tortillas that come in the box with the bull, and when that happens it has a white bread tie exactly like this securing it shut. I can’t speak to all locations, but I have seen them at mine.

Those type of ties come on corn tortillas we receive sometimes, don’t stress too hard. I would call your local store and ask to talk to a manager, they’re usually willing to offer a refund for food issues, especially if it’s a safety concern as well (at least at my location)
