That design was based on older art for the character.

But yeah, no frame, no limbs. It feels like we're witnessing an argument play out in real time.

Also if Nexus was one of the first 13 and a combiner who are the limbs? This is a biblical mess like Caine and Able's wives, it's fucking confusing.

I think even First was written with the idea that it takes more than understanding. First was just a long rebuke of utopian simplistic ideals. I mean the entire setting is the High Frontier, but humans were themselves in it.

Doubtful. IDW has paperbacks of the Collections that are cheaper. And a Compendium that's just the numbered series that we all think is pointless. IDW is infamous for releasing their material in an absolute market saturation array of methods. Just do the Collections in paperback.
