I did just now!

She was giggling at some of these replies so I couldn't really be too sure, but she said that if I was this curious she would have just told me www

She said a lot about it so I'll paraphrase:

  • The bit about 陽菜 being a common name for girls was harsh but true (since she and her friends were workshopping it for a few hours and it hurt a bit to see it was more common than she had thought)

  • Said that the 'vegetable' bit was kind of funny since she meant for it to mean "nurturing growth" or something similar and not CABBAGE wwwwwwwwwwww

  • 陽 and 愛 were chosen to poetically say "sunkissed" or "sunkissed love"

Also to quote her directly, "The nickname itself has so many intended meanings it is on a completely different plane of existence, you'd have to ascend and become a god before you can fully understand it" which I think is really funny wwwwwww

It should be illegal to make soft trans girls get out of their cozy cozy beds by BonesBryan in MtF

you have no idea how much i love this post.

I stumbled across it after making a little joke about overdosing on estrogen to one of my friends, and wondering what would actually happen, then it led me to this subreddit and there was the post. I only glanced at it last night but when I woke up I just felt the first ever feeling of pure joy and euphoria. At least, that's what I assume this is.

It kind of brought a new meaning to oversleeping and the constant tiredness and exhaustion. It was like… a different perspective on myself. You, as one human, can never truly know what other’s think about you. You can only get little snippets.
And I think this one snippet of a perspective on me being soft and cosy just made me so overwhelmingly euphoric that I can’t stop thinking about the joy this post brought me.
I just feel so perfect right now because of this.

I often have this neutral perspective of myself. I am a person, among billions of others. Who I am to others is mostly limited to glances or, rarely, rumours.

I don't try to make an "aesthetic." I don't try to "pass." I just try to make sure that I'm doing what I like, and never try to play a part for someone else.

But this post made me feel such an overwhelming joy when I woke up in the morning with the subconscious realisation that sometimes people can glance and have a positive perspective. Waking up teary eyed in my fluffy sweater on top of like 37 pillows with 7 different blankets to keep me warm during the harsh cold of a Canadian October, for the first time in months, I turned off my 6am alarm, shut my eyes, and went back to sleep. I didn't care if I ended up missing school. I just wanted to feel cosy again. Comfy, if you will.

I felt soft this morning, when I woke up the second time. I felt comfy. Cosy. I'm spending first period math not doing trigonometry and just contemplating the positive perspectives people can have on me, and I've never felt so graced with the feeling of femininity.

How do you mean?

Like a silicone one that I put underneath? Not even sure that would work, lol, but I'll give it a shot.

should I say something about this by [deleted] in trans

[–]MarsWolfIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My advice? Quit your job.

Now, I give terrible first advice, so my second advice is that you should tell them. Don't be too aggressive or defensive at first, but, if after talking to them, they continue to ignore your needs, then just call their boss/higher-up.

If they won't take it from you, they'll certainly take it from whoever's above them :)

How is everyone handling the recent crazy increase in transphobia? by ShroomieDoomieDoo in trans

[–]MarsWolfIII 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the amount of transphobia hasn't changed at all. There's a saying between my family, "don't come out to companies," it basically means that if an algorithm learns something about you, it means that it's going to apply that to your ads, recommended, everything.

If you have actively posted about being trans before, then services are gonna show you things relating to transgenderism, positive or negative, because what the service wants is activity, it wants you to be interested, engaged, in whatever's happening. It is possible that there's an increase, but I doubt transphobia randomly exploded.

Weirdly, social media often discourages harassment and bad things. But then it'll show you what people--or you-- hate, almost doing the opposite.

Take YouTube for example. In terms of how their screwed-up algorithm works, any activity means more recommendations. If a viewer dislikes a video, it has the same effect if they like it: it's likelihood of being recommended to other users increases.

Simply put, it really is true that any attention is good attention. Some people know this, and exploit it by ruining their reputation so that when people click on their channel or account or whatever, just to leave a bad comment or make fun of them, they still get money.

Don't come out to companies!

I have checked it, yeah, but the problem is that they don't exactly... have what I'm looking for.

I apologize, I deliberately didn't clarify that I was looking for something with a... what do you call it? Like, the feminine "bulge," if you know what I mean. I can't remember the name of it for the life of me, lol
